    Mechanical Assistant (Centurion)

    Description
    Responsibilities:

    Repairs and Maintenance:

    • Collaborate with the Fitter and Engineering Manager to perform repairs and maintenance tasks within the production area.
    • Assist with ongoing preventative maintenance activities as outlined in the Maintenance Schedule.
    • Conduct checks throughout the production plant, including silos, batching plant, milling and mixing equipment, extruder, dryer, coating machinery, cooler, packaging lines, stitching and sealing stations, etc.
    • Perform routine inspections of components such as chains, bearings, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, V-Belts, augers, shafts, hydraulic arms, sprockets, control valves, and pistons.
    • Inspect buckets (e.g., Nerak buckets) and holding bins.
    • Identify and report any leaks (oil, gas, water, fat) promptly to the Mechanical Manager.
    • Assist with requested repairs under the guidance of the Mechanical Manager.

    Workshop Fabrication and Installations:

    • Support workshop fabrication tasks, including building check weighers, conveyor frames, packing machines, and bins.
    • Assist with the installation of water pipes and other equipment and machinery.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during workshop activities and installations.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, storing equipment and tools appropriately.
    • Retrieve necessary consumables from the storeroom for maintenance and repair work.
    • Safely store tools after performing repairs, maintenance, and installations to prevent safety hazards.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) or equivalent
    • 2 years’ proven work experience in an engineering environment
    • Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with maintenance procedures
    • Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Excellent communication skills

    Merchandiser (Centurion)

    Description
    Responsibilities:

    • Implement Merchandising Principles and maintain Merchandising Standards.
    • Assist with store layouts and brand positioning.
    • Practice stock rotation.
    • Promote sales and customer satisfaction.
    • Building and maintaining promotional displays.
    • Maintaining point of sale material.
    • Attend trade shows, conventions, in-store promotions and new store openings.
    • Fitting, removing and replacing of shelving.
    • Conduct stock takes.
    • Inform clients of in-store activities.
    • Share product information with clients and staff.
    • Assist with customer / client specific queries and escalate to Sales Consultant or Regional Sales Manager.
    • Route planning and Reporting.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) or equivalent
    • Valid Driver's License
    •  2 years' proven work experience as a merchandiser
    •  Knowledge / experience working on Repsly would be advantageous

    Millwright (Centurion)

    Description
    Responsibilities:

    • Perform mechanical repairs, including hydraulic and pneumatic repairs, welding, and maintenance of industrial machinery.
    • Conduct electrical PLC and Drive repairs and preventive maintenance.
    • Perform general maintenance of facilities, including fabrication of parts and sheet metal work.
    • Install, commission, and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.
    • Provide technical support and advice to the Engineering Department, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee and participate in the refurbishment of equipment, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
    • Assist with new project implementations, offering technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Lead and manage a team of direct reports during maintenance projects, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and safely.
    • Ensure operational readiness by overseeing the scheduling and planning of maintenance activities, minimizing downtime.
    • Foster a collaborative work environment, offering mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
    • Perform any other duties as required, including assuming supervisory roles in production operations during absence of management.

    Requirements

    • Trade Tested Millwright (Electro Mechanician)
    • 7 years’ practical experience, preferably in a Production or FMCG environment
    • Proven experience managing a team or supervising technical staff
    • Proficiency with PLC and drive systems, with 5 years of hands-on experience
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, especially with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment where regular interactions between production and quality control teams were essential to maintain product standards and Operational efficiency
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between technical and production teams
    • Willingness to work overtime on short notice, and the ability to work in confined spaces or at heights
    • Own reliable transport

    Beneficial:

    • Familiarity with quality assurance systems such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), or FSSC 22000, especially in ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards and enhancing production efficiency
    • Experience in implementing and maintaining maintenance programs
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies

    Sales Consultant (Mpumalanga)

    Description
    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse the specific area regarding customers to identify new market opportunities to grow sales and enlarge the Montego footprint.
    • Draft an annual Business Plan aligned with the Marketing Strategy and plan resources and activities to achieve it.
    • Position specific priority brands within a specific space as opportunities arise.
    • Consult with clients and identify deal opportunities to increase profitability and opportunities of growth within the area.
    • Support the implementation of National Campaigns and make recommendations to the Regional Sales Manager on how to optimise campaign results.
    • Plan instore promotions in accordance with the expected frequency of instore promotions and ensure the Merchandisers are available for the implementation of planned promotions. Monitor availability of promotional stock.
    • Identify fast-moving and slow-moving stock and put plans in place to enhance stock movement.
    • Communicate all relevant information to the clients to empower them to achieve budget.
    • Identify and plan pet shows as opportunities to promote strategic partnerships.
    • Build and maintain positive relations with clients through ongoing engagements and quality service delivery.
    • Plan and implement Merchandising Principles, Techniques and Store Layouts to optimise visual appeal and increase the rate of sale. Advise and guide Merchandisers on Merchandising Plans and Requirements.
    • Plan and prepare for store and customer visits in accordance with Call Rate Requirements.
    • Assist clients with stock and quality-related queries and provide feedback.
    • Keep clients informed and provide advice and product training on new lines.
    • Provide information on and assist with the completion of Retailer Application Forms and actively onboard successful clients.
    • Plan telesales and complete Budget recons monthly.
    • Attend and respond to customer and internal e-mails, log calls and update Repsly within the agreed timeframe.
    • Submit progress updates/reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
    • Diploma/Degree in Sales or related field
    • Valid Driver’s License (Code EC beneficial)
    • Knowledge of geographical area and sales opportunities in the area
    • Knowledge of Merchandising Standards
    • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) Reports
    • Proven work experience as a sales consultant, FMCG highly advantageous
    • Willing to travel extensively within the area
