Unit operational implementation        

• To implement the unit operations plan by understanding the plan and activities including all projects and key performance measures
• To report on performance by tracking unit performance against targets, identifying progress and areas of concern, drafting reports and submitting quarterly and as required
• To manage unit performance by tracking performance against targets, identifying anomalies and implementing corrective action monthly and as required
• To investigate and resolve SC queries
• To participate in supplier performance reviews

Policy and procedure (including process and systems) compliance  

• To comply with policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of policies, participating in training sessions and sourcing answers to any queries daily and as required
• To comply with processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of processes, implementing the correct process and addressing any areas of concern daily
• To propose improvements to processes by identifying an area for improvement, presenting to line manager and providing additional information as relevant compliance to SC policies

Technical delivery

• To manage the expediting process by prioritizing on-contract or once off purchases, understanding and mitigating the impact of late or incomplete deliveries,
• To provide support for day-to-day procurement activities by completing required clerical tasks, conducting required accounting tasks, performing data clean-up exercises on SAP and performing all expediting activities as required
• To assist in managing suppliers by resolving Ariba issues, responding to suppliers and service providers, identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining a positive, professional relationship with suppliers at all times
• To proactively address issues and bottlenecks by constantly monitoring organizational unit purchase orders, understanding risks for and managing on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery, tracking supply issues, formulating and documenting solutions and taking corrective action as required

Budget monitoring and compliance    

• To expedite materials and service delivery based on demand signal for running plant.
• To train end users on SC SAP transactions.
• To resolve complaints, claims, and general queries between operations and suppliers.
• To recommend improvements on expediting and procurement activities.

Risk and SHE compliance        

• To implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, implementing and reviewing within deadline or as per process.
• To comply with SHE standards, processes and practices by maintaining knowledge and expertise in SHE and complying with requirements at all times

Stakeholder engagement (including internal, external, client and service provider)           

• To maintain stakeholder relationships by liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, providing input and feedback actions, receiving feedback and contributions and collaborating as required
• To maintain relationships with service providers by understanding and tracking service levels required and monitoring delivery against standards, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective action monthly and as required

Teamwork        

• To contribute to the team by participating in events, identifying areas of support required within the team and providing the required support, engaging with the team and being an active member of the team daily
• To implement self-development activities by identifying areas of development, sourcing options for capacity development activities, sourcing approval and completing the activities successful as relevant
• To be a contributing member of the organization as a whole by participating in company events, supporting company driven activities and living the Enaex values daily

Requirements

Qualification:

• 3 year Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent
• Driver's licence
• SAP and Advanced Excel

Experience:

• 2 years’ relevant supply chain experience

Description

• Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up)
• Provide information regarding Health & Safety of Enaex equipment to mine and Enaex employees.
• Assist mine personnel on on-the-job training (Technical support on DDS™ equipment & Charging-up)
• Assist Service Technician in maintenance of DDS™ Equipment
• Density checks and records
• Day to day inspections and minor repairs on DDS™ equipment
• Oversee mine trained employee to do daily checklist. Mine employee to hand checklist to his mine supervisor.
• First responder to breakdowns (All minor issues on shift)
• Reporting on levels of DDS™ emulsions and delivery dates for emulsion
• Offloading of the DDS ™ delivery tanker & weighbridge notes sign
• Reporting on spares used and stock level to Service Technician
• Report of spillages to mine personnel to arrange for clean-up
• Report status of good housekeeping around silos to mine.
• Daily reporting of findings in underground workings to Section Mine Overseer / Shift boss / Miner with regards to   - charging-up and drilling on the working areas he visited.
• Communication with service Technician on status of DDS™ equipment.
• Breakdown reports and feedback to M/O , HFO , Service Technician
• Follow up on recommendations and implementation of proposals
• Identify incorrect charging up practices
• Conduct blast surveys according to the designed criteria
• Demonstrate the charging up and connecting of all Enaex explosives products
• Apply the use of the product as per the product application training
• Apply the safe handling, storage and transport of explosives
• Ensure correct PPE is used, as well as that PPE is in good condition and correctly worn/used
• Maintain housekeeping of work area
• Identify workplace hazards and associated risks and deal with it appropriately (Hirac & Risk Assessment)
• Knowledge of relevant hand tools
• Knowledge of emergency procedures
• Comply with the Mine’s safety and health procedures
• Attend the mine’s induction training
• Maintain basic safety, health and environmental issues
• Assess the product application practices
• Identify incorrect product application practices
• Demonstrate and coach the correct practices
• Adhere to Enaex code of practice and procedures
• Adhere to mine Health & Safety requirements

Requirements

• Grade 12  
• Millwright qualification (N3 minimum)
• Underground Blasting Assistant Certificate and Competent B for underground (Advantage)
• Basic Computer skills
• Valid medical fitness certificate for UG Mines

Experience:

• 2-3 years working experience in underground.
