    Technician

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent Technical Certificate
    • Up to 2 years relevant experience relating to Horticulture environment
    • Project Management experience would be advantageous
    • Computer Literacy (MS Office & SAP)
    • Code B/EB Driver’s License
    • Physically Fit

    Key Performance Areas

    • To provide operational, horticultural and project support to the
    •  Head;
    • Manage capital, operational, Ward Allocations, URP and other
    •  projects.
    • Coordinate and provide input in tenders for projects (capital & maintenance), are developed
    • Performs specific administrative tasks / activities
    • Collating information from inspections and contractual documentation for inclusion into management reports

    Head - Plan and Build (Telecommunications)

    Requirements

    • A Relevant Bachelor’s degree/ Bachelor of Technology or Advanced Diploma
    • Engineering qualification would be preferred
    • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in a senior role in Telecommunications Infrastructure Plan and Build - fibre, civils, radio, masts, MPLS and switching centres facilities.
    • Strong Strategic Capability & Leadership qualities
    • Valid Code B driver’s licence and would be required to work after hours when required to do so.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Responsible for managing the operations of the Plan & Build functional area of the Telecoms Broadband Services (TBS) Branch
    • Directs and controls the professional, technical and operational outcomes associated with the functions related to the Plan & Build functional area
    • Manage detailed BIP infrastructure (Fibre, Civils, Radio, Masts and switching centre facilities) planning.
    • Manage the process of ensuring that BIP infrastructure planning and inventory/as-built records are kept up to date.
    • Manage the execution of new BIP infrastructure build and implementation to ensure successful implementation, handover and operationalisation

    Senior Professional Officer

    Requirements

    • A Master’s degree in Economics
    • 6 years’ or more relevant functional experience
    • Strong understanding of the workings of local economies and the measurement of the performance of the economy
    • Proven experience in undertaking socio-economic Cost Benefit Analysis (and related techniques) and macroeconomic impact assessment
    • Experience in the use of applied economic analysis and
    •  forecasting techniques
    • Demonstrated problem solving abilities and adaptability across content fields
    • Strong project and stakeholder management experience

    Key Performance Areas

    • Analyse macroeconomic trends and communicate the implications of these trends for Cape Town’s economy and the City’s strategies
    • Contribute to the development of economic information products that will inform decision making in the City
    • Contribute to scenario modelling and the development of economic forecasts for the City for use in long-term plans and spatial modelling
    • Write in-depth economic research reports/papers and contribute to the development of strategies and policies
    • Apply specialised economic appraisal techniques, including CBA; CE, MCDA, to key CCT projects and policies.
    • Interpret the outcomes of CBA’s and impact modelling and effectively communicate their outcomes and any consequential recommendations to inform decision-making processes
    • Assist with the economic prioritisation of infrastructure projects and contribute to the City’s stage gate (project preparation) process
    • Provide expert economic advisory services to line departments, particularly at a project level

    Requirements

    • Diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery and Community Nursing Science
    • Current registration with SANC
    • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a Personal Primary Health Care Service/ Programmes

    • Assisting the Clinic Manager with the management and supervision of Personal Primary Health Care staff within a facility

    Clinic Manager

    Requirements
    A diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery and Community Health
    Registration with the South African Nursing Council
    At least 5 years’ experience in personal primary healthcare service and programmes.
    A valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Participate in the development of the sub-district operational business plan at facility level and for clustered facilities in order to ensure a quality personal primary healthcare service to the community.
    • Manage and supervise Personal Primary Healthcare & Area staff in a health facility and clustered facility to ensure optimal performance.
    • Implement external and internal communication plans within the community and facility to ensure the community and staff are informed regarding the relevant issues.
    • Monitor and evaluate personal primary healthcare services to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery in order to achieve a quality personal primary healthcare service to the community.
    • Developing and implementing quality assurance projects at all facilities and within that cluster.
    • Assist in controlling and managing the allocated budget of the cost centres in order to comply with the MFMA.

    Technician- CTE Distribution

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
    • At least 2 years’ relevant experience.

    Special conditions may include:

    • Ability to perform standby duties and work flexible hours.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Coordinating preliminary investigations of equipment and resources, and presents findings to district management.
    • Providing support in feasibility studies of plant, equipment, premises, systems, in order to compile a comprehensive database on each item to produce a full history.
    • Conducting site inspections/meetings regarding the provision and possible deviation of electrical services.
    • Assist with take-over inspections on new distribution network projects and on requested maintenance and planned work.
    • Assisting with the implementation of planned maintenance programmes performed at the various districts.
    • Assist with development of specifications for tendering for the acquisition of equipment and services.
    • Assist with preparing of investigation / productivity reports referring to statistical data and qualitative information related to service delivery execution.
    • Checking the budget allocations for specific acquisitions, interventions and/ or activities required to sustain service delivery levels and preparing and submitting requisitions/ motivations for approval.
    • Supervising as authorized person, the labourers and assistants during performance of their daily tasks.
    • Responsible for the health and safety of personnel and the safe execution of work.
