    HIV/TB Technical Lead

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and provide expertise for the design and implementation of high-quality HIV/TB prevention, care and treatment support strategies for the project, adapting global and regional technical resources and tools as needed for the local context
    • Identify technical assistance needs and resources among public sector, community and other private sector providers in delivering HIV/TB prevention, care and treatment services
    • Working with the Chief of Party and project management team, lead, coordinate and manage the performance of HIV/TB clinical and related technical staff toward achieving the project’s deliverables and targets
    • Liaise with USAID, other USG-supported HIV/TB projects, Free State Department of Health (DOH) and any other relevant entities to assure complementarity and collaboration in project activities, efficient use of resources, and timely delivery of HIV & TB prevention, care, and treatment interventions

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A medical qualification degree or nursing degree and postgraduate qualification in HIV (and TB) management
    • Specialized knowledge and demonstrated expertise in comprehensive HIV and HIV/TB service delivery at the provincial, district and facility/site level
    • A minimum 10 years’ experience in HIV programme management with progressively increasing responsibility in designing, implementing, and managing large HIV/TB programs within the local context.
    • A minimum five years’ experience managing or supporting the management of international donor-funded health programs, preferably PEPFAR specific
    • A minimum 10 years’ work experience in supporting essential comprehensive HIV/TB services in resource-limited settings

    Community Services and Stakeholders Lead

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A tertiary degree in Public Health, Social Work, Health Administration or Business administration with a focus on public health, behavioural and social sciences, social work, or related field
    • An honours and master's degree will be additional advantage to the programme
    • A minimum seven years’ experience with progressively increasing responsibility in designing, implementing and managing large development activities involving multiple partners.
    • Three to five years’ experience supporting the management of international donor-funded health programs, preferably PEPFAR specific.

    Chief of Party

    Responsibilities:

    • Accounting officer for overall management and performance of the programme
    • Provide technical and programme leadership, oversight and overall planning, coordination and management of all project activities, budget, risk management, M&E and including those of sub-partners and other key stakeholders
    • Oversee staff and sub-partners to ensure quality of activities and products developed under the project
    • Coordinate the design of project management and reporting procedures and related documents

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • A minimum 10 years' progressive responsibility and experience in leading large and complex donor funded Public Health programs of similar scope, and a value of at least USD$10 million
    • Strong knowledge and experience of US Government rules and regulations about project human resource, procurement, contracting, financial management, and reporting processes and systems.
    • Proven ability to develop and manage collaborative relationships with senior donor and government officials, and with executives of NGOs, CSOs, CBOs, and the for-profit business community to advance health objectives

    Data Quality Monitor - Cape Town

    Job Purpose

    The Data Quality Monitor  will be based at sub-district level and will ensure that key data quality dimensions such as validity, reliability, integrity, precision, timeliness, accuracy, worth, completeness, confidentiality and ethics are met for all data collected at facility and community levels. This position will contribute to the development and maintenance of the high standard of data collected and reported and assists with conducting routine data quality assessment (RDQA) or data quality audit. The Data Quality Monitor will work closely with M&E Officers, Quality improvement coaches, and district health information managers to provide oversight and technical support on improving data quality to facility and community level staff as well as data capturers through facility level supervision and support visits, capacity building and data quality assurance.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance to facility and community staff on the effective ways to implement and adhere to the six key stages of data management cycle (data source, data collection, data collation, data analysis, data reporting and data usage).
    • Provide guidance on how the data are collected and how the raw data are assembled and analyzed; determining the most appropriate presentation formats for the data; and ensuring data use by decision makers.
    • Work with the M&E Officers and officers to develop and implement data quality assessment tools to ensure validity, reliability, integrity, precision, timeliness, accuracy, worth, completeness, confidentiality and ethics for the data collected at facility and community levels.
    • Conduct regular data verification visits including detailed checking of reported data against source documents on a bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis, to ensure all data captured is accurate and valid.
    • Ensure that data management systems and procedures are in place, implemented and adhered to, to ensure data quality.
    • Oversee TB project data management reports as well as participate in data review meetings at sub-district level. 
    • Conducting routine data quality assessment (RDQA) or data quality audit at facility and community level.

    • Review raw data from primary sources and compare with system generated reports to address any missing data, inconsistencies, discrepancies, or errors.

    Requirements

    Level of Education

    • NQF level 6 or equivalent qualification in data management or statistics, health, public health, social sciences, information technology, or related field will be an advantage.

    Community Health Worker - Nelson Mandela Bay

    Description

    The Community Health Worker is responsible for providing outreach services from the Site to the Community, to provide home visits and symptomatic screening for households and referrals to health facilities for further management, Contact Management of TB Patients and Recall of Lost patients.     Radiographer - Nelson Mandela Bay

    Description

    The Radiographer is responsible for providing Mobile Digital chest X-ray services, including screening, collecting Data and diagnosis of TB and Referrals at supported Correctional and DOH Facilities and other External Clients.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Ensure clients sign the consent forms before Xray exposure
    • Ensure that the Ionizing Radiation (for Medical Exposure) Regulations are adhered to.

    Enrolled Nursing Assistant - Pretoria

    Description

    The purpose of this position is to provide highly effective and efficient clinical services under the supervision of the Project coordinator, Area manager or Community Liaison Officer whilst adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.     Radiographer - Pretoria

    Description

    The Radiographer is responsible for: Providing a high standard of radiographic chest x-ray imaging, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for reading images whilst ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and linkage to appropriate services. Liaising with relevant district/sub-district management teams and facilities for planning and allocation purposes. Communicating effectively with facility-based outreach teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality service.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Ensure clients sign the consent forms before X-ray exposure.
    • Ensure that the Ionizing Radiation (for Medical Exposure) Regulations are adhered to.
    • Record accurate patient information relating to dose and use of consumables.
    • Keep accurate patient records including recording radiation dose and exposure factors.
    • Provides support and reassurance to patients who may be unwell or have barriers to understanding.
    • Develop a sound knowledge of the equipment used to be aware of malfunctions and errors and to report them.
    • Participate in the district/sub-district and facility development of operational plans for the deployment of the mobile DCXR.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with outreach teams and facility staff.
    • Liaise with the Radiologist/Medical officer for diagnostic and technical advice and support.
    • Support referral and linkage to care for incidental CXR findings not requiring presumptive TB testing.
    • Work with the team to ensure that all data is collected and verified to ensure data quality.
    • Set up and prepare for daily activities.
    • Supervise the teams to ensure day to day direct service delivery. Read and interpret Documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
    • Write routine Reports and Correspondence.
    • Speak effectively before Groups/Stakeholders of the Company
    • Define problems, collect Data, establishes facts and draw valid conclusions
    • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Requirements

    Education

    • National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Radiography
    • HPCSA registration as a Radiographer

    Experience

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Radiographer

    Advantageous

    • Six (6) months experience in a Supervisory position
    • Private practice number will be an added advantage

    Requirements

    Data Capturer - Sedibeng

    Description

    The Data Capturer will work with facilities and will ensure that key data quality dimensions such as validity, reliability, integrity, precision, timeliness, accuracy, worth, completeness, confidentiality and ethics are met for all data collected at facility and community levels. This position will contribute to the development and maintenance of the high standard of data collected and reported and assists with conducting routine data quality assessment (RDQA) or data quality audit. The Data capturer will work closely with M&E officers, Data Quality monitors, managers, Quality improvement advisors, QI officers and district health information managers to provide oversight and technical support on improving data quality to facility and community level staff as well as data capturers through facility level supervision and support visits, capacity building and data quality assurance.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Strengthening and capacity building on existing national health information systems such as EDR.Web, TIER.Net, DHIS, HPRS and others) to enhance data visibility via dashboards and cascade analysis to enhance programme improvement.
    • Support in conducting Onsite Data Verifications (OSDV).
    • Provide technical support and assistance on Filing System.
    • Provide technical support and assistance on clearing of Data Capturing backlogs
    • Review of data extracts and providing Feedback.
    • Support data capturing related activities at beyond zero as the need arises. 
    • Participate in quality improvement projects.
    • Participate in district and sub-district MERL meetings, workshops and discussions to provide ongoing technical support
    • Any other duties as may be determined necessary

    Requirements

    Education

    • Grade 12
    • Post Matric Diploma/Degree Qualification will be an added advantage. 

    Advantageous

    • Previous Exposure in HIV/AIDS and TB Prevention programmes (added advantage)

    Job Requirement and Work Experience

    • 2 years data capturing experience.
    • 2 years office work experience.
    • Experience in capturing data in electronic databases, Health related is an added advantage.
    • Fully computer literate (proficient working knowledge of MS office, including databases)
    • Experience in data management and data verification
    • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
