PURPOSE

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspections and Reporting
- Conduct all relevant inspections, diagnostic tests to determine the condition of the vehicles and prepare reports
- Interpret diagnostic results and offer suitable solutions
Safety Aspects on Plant and Equipment
- Ensure compliance with all maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure that electrical, kinetic and potential energy are neutralised before commencing tasks
- Report on all accidents/incidents and safety deviations
Maintenance of Plant and Equipment
- Prepare work plans after fully scoping out the problems
- Order parts and maintain parts inventory
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance
- Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, suspensions, transmissions and braking systems as per original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications
- Repair or replace light fittings, wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, ignitions and proximity switches
- Repair and maintain basic electrical systems on vehicles (12v, 24v, 48v)
- Replace hydraulic equipment, pumps, valves and cylinders
- Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
- Conduct oil sampling, analyse and report
- Conduct site visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
- Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in a safe working condition
General Responsibilities
- Adhere to SHEQ-C Code of Conduct requirements, employment legislation as well as company policies and procedures as amended from time-to-time
- Ensure good housekeeping of plant and equipment
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
QUALIFICATIONS
- N3 or equivalent a must
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate (Section 26)
- All training certificates and training module documentation be available from accredited training centre
- Valid driver’s licence
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum three years experience on Trackless Mobile Machines (TMM) in a mining environment (ADTs, excavators, graders, wheel loaders, water bowsers)
- Minimum five years experience on yellow equipment
- Basic electrical experience in auto-electrical field

PURPOSE
- This exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander for the accounting operations of the division, to include the production of financial reports, enhance the accuracy of the division's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). To provide support related to the finance function overall, including treasury, accounts receivable and payable, compliance and governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly divisional reports on Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow results.
- Prepare and review standard monthly reports (e.g., GRNI, Open PO’s, account ageing etc.).
- Alert divisions on risks and trends of monthly results.
- Prepare and supply operational financial information to the division.
- Review of foreign exchange related transactions/reporting (translation/revaluations/conversion into reporting currency etc.).
Governance
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (Income Tax Act, Value Added Tax Act etc.) including legislative amendments and industry best practices, as well as proactively advising on solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify any audit areas or potential risk.
- Prepare the annual audit file for external auditors, various reconciliations and assist external auditors with queries.
- Assist internal audit during the annual internal audit process.
Budget & Forecast
- Assist with the annual budget preparation and reporting process.
- Assist with the monthly rolling forecast calculations and submission thereof.
Management
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Site Administrators, Assistant Financial Controllers, and Financial Controllers.
- Ensure sufficient competency levels of finance staff.
- Provide support and assistance to finance staff to fulfil their financial responsibilities.
Transactional Shared Services
- Use of various company financial reporting and ERP systems.
- Release of banking payments and treasury admin support.
- Prepare monthly financial journals.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
