    Underwriting Administrator - Nelspruit

    Role Objectives

    • Process all underwriting administration transactions assigned, within the set standards required by the company thus contributing to the productivity of the underwriting department as set out within parameters delegated from time to time
    • Enhance the image of the company through the continuous delivery of efficient and effective customer service

    Key Responsibilities

    • Technical expertise: Ensure that policy transactions (new business, endorsements, renewals, post loss, cancellations) are issued and changes recorded accurately and in a timely manner by rating and/or capturing transactions to the core business system
    • Processing: Accurate and timely data capturing of new business, renewals, endorsements, declarations and post loss adjustments. Complete transactions within delegated authority limits and within set standards as per underwriting manual and service level agreements
    • Continuous Process Improvement: Ensure full compliance to all processes, policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement
    • Customer service: Maintain a high level of service to customers (internal and external) according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the company
    • Service to brokers: Over and above normal underwriting processing duties such as technical advice and other assistance

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • At least 3 years’ Commercial Underwriting, AGRI and Hospitality, administration experience will be advandagous.
    • Underwriting knowledge ability to interpret policy wording Insurance terminology
    • Sound understanding of the TCF principles
    • Legal knowledge (prescription act, insurance act, FAIS) Basic risk assessment and product knowledge Reinsurance and treaties (basic understanding

    Marsh Claims Consultant - Parktown

    Role Objectives:

    • Manage Motor and Non Motor claims received from Marsh Insurance Brokers Countrywide, as per the Marsh SLA, and in line with the Hollard Mandate.
    • Ensure strong working relationship between all stakeholders

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Expertise required to evaluate and process all Commercial claims received.
    • Ensure policy conditions and Hollard processes are adhered to.
    • Appointment of motor and non-motor assessors on the Hollard SPM System.
    • All new claims to be registered within 48 Hours.
    • Fast Track claims to be settled within 5 days and Non Fast Track Claims within 45 days.
    • All e-mails and queries from Brokers, suppliers and stakeholders to be attended to within 48 Hours and clients to be kept updated on all movements on the claim.
    • Diary system to be attended to, and follow up’s to be done for outstanding :-
    • Documentation from brokers/clients/suppliers.
    • Assessors for the completed reports
    • Brokers /clients/Regional branches to be kept updated on the latest position
    • To access the Marsh Online System for Policy Schedules.
    • Correct quantum to be established as accurately as possible
    • Risk Management – underwriters to be advised of claims revealing adverse risk features as soon as they are evident.
    • Draft Rejection Letters.
    • All claims to be loaded onto the Hollard systems (Indlela, Purple Heron and Agri)
    • Continuous Process Improvement: - to ensure full compliance to all Processes, Policies and Procedures and identify areas for improvement.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • 3 – 5 years Claims Handling experience
    • Sound Understanding of commercial and industrial short term insurance with at least 4 years’ experience.
    • Completed RE Exam

    Billing and Commission Administrator - Johannesburg

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Under limited supervision, the Commission Clerk performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties for the Commission and billing; records and preserves the action of the Commission; prepares, edits and supervises the distribution of Commission agendas, manages the Commission’s on-line presence and information technology functions; and performs other duties, as assigned. 

    Key Responsibilities
    Will include the following but not limited to:

    • Maintain the administrative tasks associated with the billing function
    • Ensure that all suppliers/brokers are be paid in a timely manner.
    • Send proof of payment and remittance advice to clients
    • Report on the status of the monthly billing
    • Reconcile billing once billing has been done on a monthly basis
    • Run billing files and loading onto the banking system weekly/daily
    • Extract and prepare monthly billing files monthly, weekly or daily
    • Ensure all information is accurate on sales analysis and invoicing
    • Assist debtors with sending out statements to relevant clients
    • Running Cash-Ups and ensuring the daily entries are always allocated and paid
    • Process and perform monthly reconciliations of billing balance sheet accounts
    • Perform any task that is reasonably requested by the employer
    •  Assist auditors with billing and commission-related activities queries 
    • Assist with ad hoc administration relating to Finance
    • Assist in client onboarding
    • Attend to all queries from internal and external parties in a professional and timely manner

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • Previous invoicing experience
    • PC literate (Advanced MS Office, Great Plains an advantage)
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, within a team and with management
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Creative problem solving skills
    • Deadline driven and able to manage time
    • Meticulous and accurate with strong attention to detail
    • Strong processing skills
    • Able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes
    • Ability to handle complex and high volume of transactions
    • Some Insurance industry experience would be an advantage
    • 1- 3 years of experience in basic accounting and financial administration experience would be an advantage
