    Specialist: IT Infrastructure Services

    Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
    The Specialist: IT Infrastructure Services will be responsible for Architecture Support, Delivery & Execution on various end-to-end Enterprise Collaboration initiatives & services to the Group IT Infrastructure Services function at Manco as well as driving related OPCO and BU initiatives within the Collaboration domain.

    The Manco IT and Infrastructure team is a small, dynamic and agile function that manages all aspects of Manco IT services (IT Infrastructure support, Asset Management, Service Management, Enterprise Collaboration and Software Services) as well as drives strategy, innovation and execution at the OPCOs in support of Ambition 2025 and our Group Technology enablement program called OXyGEN.

    Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's)
    The Specialist: IT Infrastructure Services will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

    • Function as part of a team of experts and virtual teams that are tasked to identify partners for delivery of new IT products and services that can be implemented across Group IT
    • Coordinate with the different areas of Group IT and company for the procurement, implementation and monitoring of IT corporate infrastructure and solution.
    • Manage onboarding of cloud infrastructure requests and reporting on consumption.
    • Support delivery of Manco IT Initiatives and provide various reports to monitor the implementation of initiatives.
    • Implement optimisation elements to existing solutions where possible whilst permanent solutions are being negotiated
    • Piloting & rollout new capabilities related to Digital Workplace initiatives.
    • Support for the Group Digital Transformation program
    • Driving OPCO adoption of key Group led initiatives
    • Supporting and managing demand coming from BUs and OPCOs for Application, collaboration and other software services
    • Support and drive the Manco High Risk User Program and alignment with our Group Microsoft 365 collaboration services
    • Administrative role related to project tracking, documentation and reporting
    • Where applicable, support Group Operations and CAPEX steerco motivations, Purchase orders, Invoicing related to our IT Infra projects
    • Support in the review and management of service requests to ensure all they are correctly prioritized, scheduled and moved through the system as desired
    • Support for our Group Information Security team related to security and other services dependant on the Group IT MS365 Azure platform
    • Provide guidance and expertise to stakeholders on Infrastructure Architecture Services related issues.
    • Provide insight into (or take the lead on) IT Infrastructure Services projects / programmes / initiatives or objectives.
    • Regularly report status, progress, issues and risks to management, with supporting metrics where available
    • Manage, team and collaborate with other team members in the IT infra domain on overall product lifecycle of Manco end user IT assets

    Key Deliverables

    • Analysis & Reporting of the current and future consumption of cloud infrastructure
    • Remediation & reporting of current license consumption across OpCos
    • Liaise with End user support teams & Client Server teams on the administration and resolution of Modern Workplace initiatives
    • Develop reports, briefings & other artefacts supporting the Group Tech initiatives
    • Process flow mapping of customer journeys to systems
    • Deliverable tracking and mitigation management of initiatives being rolled out.
    • Reduced time to deploy and/or implement
    • Reduce IT cost an Improved compliance
    • Disaster recovery and risk of failure
    • Increased availability
    • Adherence to defined standards and methodologies
    • Efficient delivery in line with defined SLAs
    • Efficient and effective resolution of issues logged and timely escalation of unresolved issues.
    • Role Dependencies
    • Active support from the Group IT Infra & MANCo IT GM, Senior Management and Enterprise collaboration Management
    • Understanding of the MTN Technology, OXyGEN and Group CIO strategy
    • Understanding of the OpCo technology, business and regulatory context
    • Timely decision making and reporting
    • Understanding of MTNs Ambition 2025, Platforms 2nd to None and other key business strategy initiatives
    • Deep understanding of the Group Technology and Core Design & Delivery strategies
    • Deep understanding of Enterprise Automation best practice

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)

    Education:

    • Minimum of 3 year tertiary degree / diploma
    • Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body is advantageous
    • Fluent in English
    • Relevant Microsoft certification focussed on Microsoft 365, Windows, Azure and related
    • Relevant Security certification

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation coupled with supervising others
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies (advantageous)
    • Self-motivated with strong project and people/ stakeholder management skills
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
    • Strong appreciation and experience within the IT operational domain
