    Job Description :

    Purpose of Role:

    • The purpose of the role is to grow Diageo share of market in the On Trade by increasing spirits penetration, driving recruitment of consumers into Diageo’s spirits portfolio and building superior customer relationships to ultimately outperform the competition.

    Top Accountabilities:

    • Territory analysis, planning and execution to drive volume/value growth and achievement of KPIs.
    • Execute formal on trade strategy as per defined standards of excellence in Business Plans and Cycle activity.
    • Collaborate and build superior relationships with the On Trade and Redistributor customers servicing relevant territory.
    • Educate and empower outlet staff to become advocates of Diageo brands through educational marketing platforms and other in-store staff incentive programs.
    • Plan and collaborate with Reserve Ambassadors to win with the Reserve Portfolio in the right outlets and with the right consumers.
    • Execute out of channel opportunities and occasions in line with brand/customer marketing guidelines.
    • 100% adherence to customer calls as per guidelines per outlet, assigned route and frequency.
    • Manage territory budget and adhere to Measurement and Evaluation business principles.
    • Live and adhere to the Diageo compliance agenda and code of business conduct.

    Packaging Manager

    Job Description :

    About this role

    • As Packaging Manager, you will be key in managing people and assets to drive delivery of quality product for distribution to the consumer according to business requirements, and, in so doing, to achieve or exceed the Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale (QCDSM) targets dictated by the business. 
    • You will also be responsible for the embedding Manufacturing excellence practices in an environment with a high number of unskilled or semi-skilled staff including temporary and casual workers.

    You key accountabilities will be :-

    • Meeting site production programmes, including QCDSM targets, and ensuring adherence to Diageo policy and procedures.
    • Building capability within Front line manager group & throughout department.
    • Ensuring alignment of situational, systemic and strategic activities through formal Level 2 and Level 3 reviews.
    • Leading teams according to principles of GN Policy, Diageo Values and Manufacturing Excellence
    • Providing frontline HR management of Teams including morale, discipline, grievances etc.
    • Defining and implementing departmental strategy, aligned to Manufacturing Excellence, using the relevant tools to meet improvement targets.
    • Defining and managing people, revenue and capital budgets for the department.
    • Planning production to optimize productivity and build strategic stocks to ensure supply through peak periods.
    • Production of aligned Team and individual goals & development plan and enforcing accountability.
    • Local Incident Committee (LIC) and Crisis Management Committee member. Responsible for the control of all packaging related by-products.
    • Liaison with the relevant stakeholders & officials to ensure legal compliance.

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Degree in engineering studies or equivalent
    • Seven years in a packaging or manufacturing unionized environment.
    • Strong general management and coaching skills.
    • Detailed knowledge of packaging processes and in touch with developments in Manufacturing Best Practice.
    • Principles and application of Effective Management and Coaching.
    • Detailed knowledge of: Site packaging Procedures and Work Instructions as laid down in the Quality Manual, HR policies and procedures, SHEQ policies and procedures.
    • Able to apply principles of change management.
