Description

• Monitor supplier compliance to QMS and OHS requirements by conducting audits
• Oversee performance of security service provider as per KPIs due to site security responsibility
• Be on standby to ensure quick and efficient response in any emergency situation at the plant
• Drive 5S, Housekeeping & SHE audits results on a monthly basis
• Recognize & report SHERQ issues to the executive
• Ensure that SHERQ reports are prepared and distributed for action & information
• Drive the ISO and Risk Audits (Internal and external certification)
• Ensure safe work practices are followed & Health & Safety improvement measures are implemented
• Ensure that Corporate Responsibility Reporting is conducted and reported
• Develop & implement quality management systems & Environment Management systems
• Ensure that the rectification in made and that all personnel are notified timeously
• Manage NCR system, recognition of non-conformances & the implementation of counter measures
• Conduct time and work studies when required e.g. Ergonomic requirements, etc
• Manage financial budgets for safety and security
• Conduct training on procedures, processes and work instructions to employees
• Ensure work instructions, procedures & process documentation are completed, updated & distributed
• Drive improvement with suppliers on compliance with QMS and SHE policies
• Analyse results, report back and add to non-conformances via management meetings/review/action room
• Provide for total quality management practices and guidance and ensure ISO compliance
• Oversee that the SHE audits are carried out and distributed
• Oversee and assist in the development and implementation of ISO 14001
• Conduct & report 5S, housekeeping & safety check audits then follow up on corrective action taken
• Ensure NCR system updated and documented in line with LOF from audit and internal non-conformances
• Ensure that the ISO System and audits are carried out and the results correctly reported

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate BTech Degree/National Diploma
• Industrial Engineering or Quality Assurance or equivalent(M+4)

Experience:

• MAN and / or VW heavy commercial vehicles -5 years
• Experience in quality management systems for example ISO9001, ISO14001, OHS18001 -3 years
• Experience, leading and motivating a team -3 years
• Knowledge of OHS ACT with suitable training for example SAMTRAC - 1 year
