    Retail Credit Controller

    Purpose of the Job

    • To ensure that all fuel including lubes deliveries to the Retail Dealer Network is paid within agreed timelines and that their accounts for other charges are paid on agreed due dates thereby ensuring that Engen's exposure to credit risk to the Retail Dealer Network is kept to within agreed limits

    Who you are:

    • You are confident and have great interpersonal skills in engaging all key stakeholders.
    • You are an expert in effective monitoring of customer payments and resolution of any past dues.
    • You have managed a book with numerous customers and are detailed in accuracy & tenacity.
    • You are passionate about being customer centric by engaging with customers to reign in the overdue and ensure that the accounts within portfolio are managed swiftly & correctly.
    •  You have experience managing a varying list of customers from varying credit regions and ensuring that the past due amounts are collected by due dates, accounts are cleared and allocated correctly, and any reconciliations required are done timeously.
    • You have excellent communications skills, being able to communicate with all stakeholders both internally and externally.
    • You have a reputation for, working to tight deadlines and independently manage a number of different tasks, as well as be able to switch priorities at short notice.
    •  You have built the analytic ability to understand and anticipate credit risks.
    • Demonstrate a firm grasp of the key retail considerations, as well as an ability to weigh up customer value propositions and make recommendations as appropriately as well as the ability to work under pressure with our retail network customers.

    What you’ll have done before:
    Baseline:

    • NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate in Credit/Admin).
    • 3 years’ experience in Credit Retail environment.
    • Knowledge of relevant collection processes and Acts.
    •  SAP Core functionality.

    Advantageous:

    • Credit Experience in the Oil Industry.
    •  Credit Management Certificate.
    • Exciting Challenges you might face in the role:
    • Driving the overdue debt of the Retail portfolio.
    • Effectively managing the portfolio thereby reducing the and debts to a minimum

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Proactively engage with the dealer network, Area Managers and Regional Sales & Operations Manager.
    • Building and leverage on the Area Manager & RSOM and colleagues.
    • Ensures Debt collection is manager extremely well, releasing of Sales Orders, Reconciliations are an integral part of the role.
