Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Multimedia Technologies, Computer Science, Web Design and Development, or Design and Digital Media
• At least two (2) years’ relevant Lecturing experience

Recommendations

The candidate must show expertise in several of the following technologies relating to Multimedia namely:

• Graphics and Video Editing Tools
• New Media Development and Editing;
• Web Scripting with the CSS Design Frameworks and JavaScript Ecosystem;
• Web Development with JavaScript Frameworks;
• User-Centered Design (UXD), Human and Computer Interaction
• Knowledge of Database Design and Web Servers will be an added advantage.
• Evidence of Technical portfolio on platforms like Github, Gitlab or Bitbucket will be an added advantage

Relevant Industry Experience

• Exposure to Program and Curriculum Development
• At least One (1) publication in an accredited journal or conference proceedings

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Lectures subjects within the field of Information and Communication Technology
• Participate in curriculum development
• Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department
• Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department
• Participate in research: supervision and undergraduate research projects
• Contribute to community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum.
• Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies and research projects
• Assist with marketing and recruitment activities
• Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
