The Junior Warehouse Manager oversees the receipt, storage and dispatch of products in a safe and efï¬cient way. He/she mobilizes his/her team and sets up the right processes and tools to ensure his/her site's main objectives are met in terms of Safety, Quality, Service and Costs.

The Junior Warehouse Manager oversees the receipt, storage and dispatch of products in a safe and efï¬cient way. He/she mobilizes his/her team and sets up the right processes and tools to ensure his/her site's main objectives are met in terms of Safety, Quality, Service and Costs.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Assist In Managing Safety And Quality In The Warehouse Thereby
- Ensuring that the standards are in place and continuously measured on the site in terms of Safety (WISE), Food Safety (AIB), Quality and Stock Management
- Ensuring a safe, healthy work environment
- Managing the reject material process for sending material back to suppliers
- Ensuring allergen storage, chemicals and empty containers management are done according to prescribed guidelines
- Contributing to industrial audits by providing evidence and information as required by audit requirements (Safety, GMP, Suppliers)
- Ensuring quality requirements and checks in the stores regarding inspection of incoming material and rejection of material
- Impacting both the CANN (through the management of Raws and Pack suppliers and CSL) and the bottom line (Total Cost to Serve: picking accuracy and efficiency etc.)
- Managing and optimizing fixed costs
- Managing and maintaining fixed assets in the warehouse
- Managing the warehouse expenditure within budget
- Managing projects according to budget and in planned timelines
- Managing overall process adherence in the Warehouse
- Setting up a continuous improvement approach at the shopfloor level (DaMaWay, DaLogWay) involving his/her staff, to deliver the site's SQCDME targets in a sustainable manner
- Implementation of the departmental strategy aligned with operational needs
- Manage levels of inventories and define inventory policies
- Responsible for the management of all physical flows including traceability
- Physical management of Raws and Packs inventory
- Ensure FIFO principles are followed
- Managing, tracking the shop order preparation, picking based on business demands
- Manage service level to industrial
- Measure, track and follow up on KPIs on an ongoing basis (monthly, daily etc.). Logistic report, GMP reports, WISE tracking etc.
- Ensure data integrity and transactions on TEKDAN and SAP
- Train users in the team on relevant SAP and TEKDAN and other warehouse related systems
- Manage stock counting daily, weekly, monthly and annual year end counts.
- Manage off site counting of Danone stock at external warehouses
- Manage new item development and/or production process for warehouse storage
- Ensure stock rotation and expiry dates of raws and packs
- Ensure correct temperature control areas for product requirements
- Manage daily checks on equipment in accordance with guidelines
- Training and coaching of team to ensure optimal competency levels
- Overseeing and managing the DaMaWay process and meetings
- Attending and contribute to TOP meetings
- Recruiting, developing and managing team to perform optimally
- Ensure Environmental Sustainability
- Ensure that good manufacturing practices are followed
- Adhere to Danone Way and DANGO audit requirements
- Bcom Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent
- Up to date with logistics legislation, development and best practice
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in FMCG supply chain operations
- SAP Experience preferred
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and productivity initiatives.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and legislation
