The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of the topline and related matters. This individual will need to be innovative and assertive as they need to both support and challenge top line functions from a financial point of view. The Business Planning Manager will build, analyse and make recommendations on business optimization/investment in consultation with other functions, as well as build and monitor budgets vs. actuals and communicate this information to the top line company

- Support the sales senior team in developing the commercial strategy and analyzing the potential sales impact and profitability of different strategies (Pricing)
- Support of Management (GM and directors) in evaluating top line strategies from a financial standpoint.
- Lead the financial evaluation of impact of price increases on financials of company as well as impact on business strategies
- Monitor commercial spend vs YA /Rolling Forecasts
- Month end closing - volume & net sales
- Daily monitoring of sales, sales rates, promo spend and reporting to various stakeholders (including liaising with FM: Mayo and consolidating results with Danone)
- Daily and monthly monitoring of product mix
- Monitor, Control and Report commercial spend. Implement mechanisms and tools to facilitate this
- Support the sales team by challenging the commercial strategy based on financial analysis

- Understand all micro-processes related to sales, within SAP and BI
- Control of Gross sales, commercial spend and Net net sales in G/L
- Maintenance of TTM contractual terms
- Manage and maintain the company financials to ensure that targets are met and exceptions are highlighted
- Monthly reporting of Vol and Net Sales by Brand, trend analysis and by brand by month rolling forecasts
- Working with the Financial Controller and OTC teams: Control Rebate and Coop spend and loading of commercial terms into TTM.
- Approval of Rebate and Coop payments in conjunction with Commercial teams.
- Measurement of results against budgets and providing feedback on effectiveness of Commercial spend: Evaluation of ROI of Commercial spend and making recommendations based on findings
- Working closely with Commercial team and monitoring all Commercial spend (including free stock/ clearance sales, once off promotions etc)
- Assist Commercial team to build financial case to support request for additional funding.
- Closely collaborate with demand planning team on rolling forecast of sales.
- Providing demand planning team with relevant inserts for GPS presentation on product mix etc
- Challenge Commercial and demand planning teams on reasonability of forecasts
- Build the Rolling Forecasts from volume to Net sales by customer/SKU
- Build Rolling Forecasts from volume to net sales

- On time and accurate generation of internal and group reporting
