    Sales Executive and Student Relationship Manager

    Job Description

    • Friends of Design is an tertiary level academy focused on introducing talented creatives to the various fields of digital design. We have an array of offerings including full time courses, short courses and custom corporate training programmes.
    • More importantly however, we are a group artists, digital natives, computer geeks, thinkers and doers – and we are looking for a young, energetic and goal-driven Business Development and Student Relationship Manager to join our team.
    • In this role, working alongside our marketing team and registrar, you would be responsible for enticing qualified and interested students to enroll in our Part Time and Full Time courses, as well as the sales, business development and management of our Corporate Training. In all cases, strong relationships with the students and delegates will need to be maintained, and the Alumni programme nutured. From an organisational stand point, you will also be required to maintain and manage the Part Time Training Courses, and Corporate Training days.
    • Corporate Business Development Responsibilities
    • Sourcing new leads through research and networking.
    • Driving new sales and generating new business.
    • Establishing rapport with clients and trainers or industry professionals to identify their needs and industry developments.
    • Remain current with Academy programs, new industry-wide trends and developments.
    • Promote the value of investment in employee upskilling and skills development to corporates.
    • Negotiating deals and campaigns.
    • Ensure good customer relations by making regular contact to encourage repeat business.
    • Ensure sales targets are met according to deadlines.
    • Recruitment Responsibilities
    • Network and build relationships with teachers and staff in schools.
    • Manage our student / school career day team schedule and programme.
    • Attend school fairs, presentations and roadshows as necessary.
    • Facilitate the distribution of informational materials through all appropriate channels.
    • Introduce potential Part Time and Full Time students to the academy and facilitate tours of the campus.
    • Host Open Days, along with key staff members.
    • Promptly respond to all online, email or telephonic enquiries.
    • Some evening and weekend working will be required from time to time. (Even career presentations / Open Days)
    • Full Time Student Relationship Responsibilities
    • Assist students with enrolment/registration and day to day questions.
    • Manage intern and work placement enquiries / notices.
    • Manage and maintain Alumni channels and relationships.
    • Conduct Alumni surveys and compile profile on students and Alumni.
    • Part Time Course Management Responsibilities
    • Manage Part Time course enquiries, sales and welcomes.
    • Execute all adminative duties related to the Part Time Courses.
    • Follow-ups and surveys on customer / student experience for Part Time Courses.

    Requirements

    • 3 – 5 years experience in a Sales environment.
    • Advantageous
    • Experience / understanding of the design industry – graphic, web, interactive, etc.
    • Personal Skills
    • Must have a passion for sales.
    • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Self-motivated and target-driven.
    • Strong organisational and administration skills.
