    Fire Fighters

    REFERENCE NUMBER: NDM/CS 13 /07/2024

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12, Certificate in Fire Fighter 1 and 2 and BAA certificate or First Aid Level III with valid HPCSA registration, Hazmat Operations and Hazmat awareness and Code EC driver’s license with PrDP ( Professional driving permit )
    • Medical fitness test

    EXPERIENCE

    • Three (3) years relevant experience in firefighting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Quick response to emergency calls and requests for rescue services including rescue for trapped people and animals;
    • Adhere to health and safety requirements as prescribed by OHSA;
    • Quick response to community and national disasters and unforeseen incidences in line with Fire and Rescue Services;
    • Clear accident/incident sites;
    • Inspect and maintain fire and rescue services fleet including fire engines and equipment;
    • Assist with regular testing of fire hydrants and emergency water supplies; undertake drills;
    • physical training on techniques and use of equipment as well as self-development to improve and maintain effective personal performance.

    COMPETENCY

    • RESCUE OPERAIONS- Ability to perform rescue and extrication
    • SPECIAL OPERATIONS (HAZMAT, URBAN SERACH AND RESCUE) – ability to perform special operations
    • FIRE SAFETY AND PREVENTION – Ability to identify fire risks and prevention measures (related to firefighting operational personnel)

    Development Control Planner Intern

    REFERENCE NO: NDM/PED/12/07/2024
    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification preferably a B Degree / National Diploma Architecture / urban Design or equivalent Planning Degrees.
    • Working towards registration as a professional planner / architect / urban designer (i.e. candidate member).
    • Computer Literacy.

    DUTIES:

    • Apply basic concepts and knowledge to the planning function.
    • Assist more senior planning staff in facilitating processes, liaison with clients and preparing reports and information.
    • Assist in the drafting urban design plans and utilisation of related software.
    • Work is closely with senior colleagues in developing proficiency in the planning discipline.

    Divisional Manager Development And Reintergration Affairs

    REFERENCE NUMBER: NDM/CS/09/07/2024

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Applicants should not be over 35 years of age, (i.e. applicants must be 35 years of age or younger).

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in Public Management/Project & Programme Management/Community Development or any relevant 3-year tertiary qualification.
    • Computer Literacy: MS Office
    • Fluent in at least two (02) most spoken African languages within the district.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5 - 8 years relevant experience of which I - 2 years must have been in a supervisory level.

    DUTIES:

    • Research and Development on marginalized communities' socio- economic challenges and the needs analysis in the likes of (Juveniles, offenders, school leavers, youth graduates etc.) in line with the national frameworks, guidelines and targets.
    • Assessing and evaluating the existing programs within the municipality against their objectives and identifying the gaps and supporting initiatives.
    • Conceptualizing and developing the Development and Reintegration Initiatives with regards to (Health & Wellness, Sports, Arts, Culture and Education).
