Minimum Qualifications: Matric / Grade 12 / N3 / T2 Certificate or Higher Valid Driver’s Licence Computer Literate – Advanced MS Office Suite, ERP Software A technical qualification such as a process engineer and/or qualified artisan, preferably in the fitter and turner trade Management experience in the mining industry and /or in a manufacturing environment Management experience in a pump/process manufacture environment would be an advantage 5 years post qualification experience in a mining / manufacturing environment Minimum Experience: Management experience and Project Management skills and /or supervisory experience in a manufacturing / mining environment Exposure to and implementation of Lean manufacturing Implementation and maintenance of the OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Standards 5 years post qualification experience in a mining process plants / manufacturing environment Key Tasks: Responsible for Service Centre budgets and working capital Growing business and acquiring new business and/or customers Ensure invoices targets are achieved and spares forecast Ensure WMA policies and procedures are adhered to in the service centre Control of documentation and record keeping Improve the service Centre to meet company group standards To actively seek and bring in new business to the service Centre with guidelines Maintain quality and standards within the service Centre Offer new products and value adding to contract Provide technical support to both internal and external clients To ensure all work is of a high quality and standard Assist in sustaining lean management through auditing Develop, maintain and improve all processes Optimize and set up programs to improve equipment effectiveness Manage the service Centre staff Continuous improvements in Lean and Kaizen Ensure adherence to all SHE and housekeeping requirements at the branch Ensure Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times Minimum Skills/Abilities: Excellent business communication at all levels / Ability to analyse and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents / Ability to define and solve problems in a timely manner / Ability to deal with difficult customers and respond promptly to customer needs / Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities / Management skills, including providing regular performance feedback / Cost conscious.
