    Primary Healthcare Nursing Practitioner

    Job Description

    • Manage Primary Health Care Clinic Services, providing care for the community and collaborating with social care providers. Managing the accreditation process and other quality and risk management activities.

    KEY OUTCOMES (not limited to) Level 4 and 5 process elements

    • Health promotion and Patient Carer:
    • Treatment and care of people, involving interdisciplinary teams
    • Illness prevention
    • Chronic illness management

    Education:

    • Providing education and support to other providers such as Doctors and administration staff
    • Community development

    Problem Solving:

    • In clinical or organisational contexts

    Quality Control:

    • Organising clinical work environments, including infection control and risk management 

    Agent of Connectivity:

    • Being an agent of connectivity between different health disciplines and between patients and health services

    Qualifications

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    PERSON DETAILS: WORK EXPERIENCE
    REQUIRED

    • 2 years in Primary Health Care environment
    • Emergency Care/ Emergency drugs

    PREFERRED

    • Professional Nurse with Primary Health Care experience

    EDUCATION: QUALIFICATIONS: ACCREDITATIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL BODY
    REQUIRED

    • Qualification in Primary Health Nursing
    • Registered with SANC and DoH
    • Certificate in dispensing

    PREFERRED

    • Qualification in Primary Health care

    TECHNICAL SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE
    REQUIRED

    • Sound knowledge and experience in the provision of Primary Health and Emergency care
    • Document and records management 
    • Computer literacy (Ms Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)    
    • Customer orientation, focus on excellence and teamwork
    • Ethical behaviour    
    • Excellent communication skills

    Clinics Manager

    Job Description

    • The Regional Clinics Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of Clinics with building client relationships, ensure that the on-site clinic are compliant to legislation and management of the clinic staff. The person will responsible for planning and securing the on-going stability of clients by building and managing the financial, operational and administrative system infrastructure of Occupational Health.

    KEY OUTCOMES (not limited to) Level 4 and 5 process elements

    Managing regional clinic stock and supplies

    • Monitor and ensure adequate stock levels
    • Follow procurement processes

    Managing resources

    • Ensure clinics are staff correctly
    • Manage workforce to ensure Service Level Agreements are met

    Managing medical assessments

    • Compile medical plans with Employers
    • Schedule clients at clinics

    Reporting

    • Report on stock levels and usage
    • Report on medical assessment engagements

    Qualifications

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Willing to Travel

    PERSON DETAILS: WORK EXPERIENCE

    REQUIRED

    • 3 -5 years Occupational Health management experience, Operations manager,
    • Supervisory or management experience is essential
    • Strong business operations knowledge is essential
    • Financial and budgeting experience
    • Client

    PREFERRED

    • Occupational Health Unit Manager

    EDUCATION: QUALIFICATIONS: ACCREDITATIONS WITH PROFESSIONAL BODY

    REQUIRED

    • A relevant Nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/ B Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
    • BTech Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Occupational
