    Senior Credit Manager - Business Bank

    Purpose Statement

    • To evaluate and manage the intuitive credit and associated risks within an allocated portfolio in a geographic region; effectively integrating and controlling the credit function by maintaining the quality of credit risks across the portfolio, minimizing the risk of loss through bad debts, while maximizing profits.
    • To interact with other areas of the bank, acting as a catalyst in driving changed initiatives in ensuring compliance within agreed risk parameters as set out in the changed strategy.

    Experience
    Minimum:

    • At least 8 -10 years banking experience, 5 of which in credit
    • Credit Management experience across business and commercial markets in the intuitive space as well as the scored lending environment
    • Working within the requirements of the National Credit Act and other relevant legislation
    • Significant experience in preparing and motivating Credit applications 

    Ideal:

    • Experience of managing a portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus.

    Purpose Statement

    • Responsible for gathering, analysing and understanding business users’ data and analytics requirements and translating these requirements into analytics best practice technical solutions that meet the relevant business objectives.  
    • To ensure alignment between business, data product owners, data and analytics teams and produce a comprehensive functional specification from business requirements by maintaining a high level of in-depth knowledge with regards to analytics and other relevant data concepts.

    Purpose Statement

    • To define the technology solution for the Data and Analytics (D&A) environment and ensure that it is designed to meet current and anticipated future technological requirements.

    Specialist: Treasury Middle Office

    Purpose Statement

    • To be responsible for timely identification of potential risk, development of cost-effective controls, implementation and ongoing recommendations for Treasury (Forex) risk and to align the Treasury risk management function to international best practice.

    Experience
    Minimum:

    • At least 5 years’ Treasury Middle Office experience
    • Exposure to liaising at a senior management level
