What will you do?
Description of the role:
The Senior Test Analyst will join our QA team and work closely with the business analysts, developers and project managers in different delivery streams.
Role responsibilities:
All manual testing activities during all phases of the SDLC from analysing business requirements to designing and executing test cases in different environments.
Creating and maintaining test plans on waterfall projects.
Creating and updating test cases to meet the business functional requirements.
Assisting Junior Test Analysts in identifying functional scenarios.
Reviewing and signing off test cases design and execution suits.
Identifying, maintaining and glag test cases for regression and automation purpose.
Identifying, preparing and maintaining test data in different test environment.
Performing manual execution of the functional test cases within all test cycles (Unit, System Integration, UAT, Regression, Smoke).
Making use of defect tracking tools such as JIRA to log, managing, resolve and report on bugs / defects.
Assisting Junior Test Analyst with their testing tasks.
Participating in all scrum ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, retros, daily stand-ups, demo, etc.
Providing estimate of test efforts in every sprint planning meeting.
Providing progress feedback in daily stand-up meeting.
Providing in business sign off meeting.
Checking the quality and accuracy of all testing executed by the QA team.
Support ways of work initiatives.
Support knowledge sharing initiatives.
Conduct test case design reviews and sign off.
Conduct test case execution review and sign off.
Assist in resolving QA technical issues.
Support environment alignment efforts 3rd party integration team.
Support and maintain test process improvement initiatives.
Support and maintain test tools and frameworks.
Report on test progress to Stakeholders (Exco, PMS, Delivery team).
Engage QAs in ways of work discussion (WoW).
Encourage and apply QA best practices.
Assist Junior Testers in estimating work effort in backlog and planning.
What will make you successful in this role?
Desired Skills Set
At least 5 years' of professional experience as a Senior Test Analyst
At least 3 years' experience in the Financial Services Industry working in Technology
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
ISTQB certification Test Analyst / Advanced Test Analyst Level (desired)
Experience in the following:
as a technical test analyst role on several large project within financial services (desired)
analysing complex system requirements
writing and analysing SQL queries
Testing Apis, microServices
working with SOAP UI and PostMan tools
testing across different browser and operating systems
working with QC / ALM
working with agile team tools such as JIRA and confluence
Ability to do the following:
working within a team following different development methodologies, e.g. Waterfall, agile, KanBan
understanding and support the test strategy
identify and influence process improvement opportunities
handle multiple tasks simultaneously
work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
supervise and guide Junior Test Analysts

Output/Core Tasks:
Do data capturing and issuing or decline New Business cases.
Data Capturing as well as assisting SanlamConnect via WhatsApp.
Ensure that New Business cases are issued as soon as possible after the proposal has been received.
Do follow-ups on outstanding information on applications in process.
Communicate with both the client and Intermediary in writing, telephonically or via WhatsApp
Ensure clients are satisfied and retained.
Update client information on a regular basis.
Flexibility to be trained in other areas of the business.
Requirements:
Once you have received sufficient training, the role will require Overtime when needed, according to Operational requirements.
Qualifications:
Grade 12
Experience & Knowledge:
General Life Assurance knowledge and/or experience
Data-capturing experience (12 months) beneficial
Experience in a Target and Production driven environment.

This role provides secretarial and administrative / marketing support to the Retail Credit Business Head and team.
Output/Core Tasks:
Organise and co-ordinate meetings; presentations; workshops; etc. for business head and team

Support team with all secretarial duties
Process invoices (e-signing) and sending Proof of payments
Travel arrangements
Order promotional items
Assist with virtual events
Assist with marketing collateral trafficking
Prepare Powerpoint presentations; Board packs; etc
