    Reporting Controller - Bryanston

    A day in the life a Reporting Controller:

    • Drive the Management Reporting process to provide all required reporting necessary to deliver transparent and timely information and ensure quality of processes and outputs, which in scope of:
      • Coordinate accurate consolidation and timely submission of Magnitude packages and OSOT within Group deadlines (SACT, PACT, MASH, SSMT, DF, MANL, PICA, PBRD, SCOM) and other market reporting under BPR
      • Manage and assist management reports on main business Objectives/ KPI to local management
      • Provide relevants reporting for the Group/ Zone (e.g. Monthly Zone deck, cost below COP etc).
      • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and consistency of Markets’ financial reporting in full compliance with NAS to Group Reporting and Control
    • Business planning:
      • Lead business planning process  - Operational Plan, Dynamic Forecast and annual budget
      • Coordinate DF consolidation and monitoring to ensure the achievement of financial objectives
      • Quantify risks/ opportunities from gap analysis
      • Provide support for Market Business & Strategy
    • Operational control :
      • Monitor PFME spending and proactively coordinate with Business Controllers to managed spending expectation
      • Consolidate marketing activity / PFME of NIM businesses, including PFME related information for monthly business review presentation (MFR) and NIMCOM
      •  Provide support for various analysis/ alternative to support decision-making process (e.g. consolidate PFME report, post evaluation, etc).
      • Support business co-pilots for business planning process by providing history information PFME by type/channel/BU/product
      • Performing analysis regarding Strategic Revenue Management
      • Provide ad-hoc support and analysis to Business units and Corporate Functions in the areas of PFME and marketing Activities
      • Other ad hoc analysis as and when required

     What will make you successful?

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar
    • Prior experience in Accounting / Finance function (e.g. Sales, Factory or Supply Chain Controller)

    Consumer & Sens. Feedbck Specialist - Estcourt

    A day in the life of a Consumer Feedback and Sensory Specialist:

    Consumer Feedback

    • Investigate consumer complaints and perform Root Cause Analysis
    • Discuss consumer complaints with operators in formal sessions and solicit for bottom-up proposals to reduce and eliminate complaints.
    • Develop and maintain the monthly consumer complaint statistics by product group and variant.
    • Analyze Complaint data & draw trends at the end of every month and submit to the Factory QA Manager.

    Sensory

    • Develop a competent group of tasters across functions to carry out the In-Out tasting for raw materials, semi-finished - and finished products.
    • Recruitment, screening, training, and managing of Sensory panels.
    • Triangle testing – when the process or an ingredient has changed to identify if there is a significant difference.
    • Standard approval – when a new standard has to be selected a triangle test has to be performed to proof similarity.
    • Keeping Quality tests should be conducted, recorded, and shared with the application group.

    Technical Assistance

    • Assist in the developing of corrective actions.

    People Development

    • Raise the awareness in the factory on consumer complaints and sensitize staff.
    • Check panel performance of each panel at least once per year & re-train panelists who need further training.

    What will make you successful?

    • University graduate or post-graduate qualification in scientific or food related field
    • Minimum 2 years Technical Experience in the Boer Operation, Utilities / Service Operation.
    • At least 2 years Sensory and Production experience                                                                                             
    • Production process, equipment, pest, and foreign body management
    • Basic science & statistical knowledge

    Industrial Services Operator - Estcourt

    A day in the life of an Industrial Services Operator:

    Administration

    • Records the boiler operating conditions, blow downs, soot blows and boiler water test results.
    • Keeps accurate records of all boiler safety alarms.
    • Replace steam pressure chart when needed.
    • Reports and log sheets to be completed for each shift or boilers, air compressors, Generators and refrigeration system.
    • Keep record up to date during the shift. Inform relieve shift of all issues necessary for a smooth takeover especially deviations and promises made with production with regards to steam availability

    Personal Safety

    • Adhere to all safety and health regulations currently in place and as may be changed from time to time.
    • Adheres to the medical surveillance plans prepared by the industrial sister and attends medical examination as required.
    • Uses the appropriate PPE for his area of work and reports to safety officer for replacement in case of damage or excessive wear.
    • Reports for purpose of correction, any malfunction or damage to equipment in and around boiler house air compressors and ammonia plants and especially regarding machine guards.
    • Report any misuse, or unsafe work conditions or contraventions of safety rules.
    • Reports any accidents or near misses when they occur in and around the boiler house air compressors and ammonia plants.

    Main job performance

    • Start and stop fires& coal supply screw conveyer.
    • Pumps and fans to deliver steam to the factory at the correct time, pressure, and condition.
    • Check on the coal handling system to ensure it is in good working condition and to immediately report any deviations.
    • Monitor the operation of the boiler house for the shift, to produce the service (steam) and maintain an efficient plant.
    • Ensure that the boiler pressure is maintained within limits to prevent safety values from blowing off unnecessarily.
    • Set, adjust, and control equipment to operate at maximum efficiency and safety.
    • Blow down of Mobrey's and gauge glasses on boiler once per start of shift as per procedure.
    • Maintain the fuel ratio at the required level to prevent unnecessary smoking coming from stack.
    • Adjust steam production conditions to be in line with production demand in the event of a break down in the production department.
    • To liaise with production operation leader or operator so as to determine the steam requirements in order to run the boiler under ideal conditions or conserve energy (coal, water & electricity).
    • To perform blow down of boilers in accordance with the procedure and results of analysis as to maintain the TDS at a minimum of 2 000 p.p.m. and maximum of 3 500 p.p.m.
    • To check hot well tanks water level to ensure that the water level does not go below low level.
    • To check that chemical dosing pump is in good working order, at beginning of each shift.
    • To check and ensure that the brine tank of the regenerating plant has adequate salt.
    • To perform water treatment analysis at the start of every shift and record in logbook.
    • Always keep the boiler house and floors clean and tidy.
    • Conduct general cleaning of all equipment in the boiler house, boiler house itself and surrounding areas.
    • Always keep the compressor room and floors clean and tidy. Clean all dust from machinery.
    • Morning shift operator to personally meet a hand in all logbooks to Section engineer during which meeting all the deviations are discussed and corrective actions are agreed on.
    • Assist maintenance staff during repairs, particularly when on call-out.
    • Ensure plant prepared for maintenance/repair, i.e. clear fires, remove coal, ash, etc.
    • Check Air compressors once per shift and record in logbook.

    What will make you successful?

    • Matric with Maths
    • Trade Test Certificate will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 2 years Technical Experience in the Boiler Operation, Utilities / Service Operation.
