    Senior Cyber Security Specialist - Centurion

    Role Purpose    

    • Safeguard information systems by identifying and solving potential and actual security threats and applying and maintaining appropriate controls.

    Requirements    

    • 4-5 years IT experience (essential) which should include IT security
    • Bdegree in computer science, electrical engineering, process engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
    • Industry security certification (e.g CCNA, CCNP, CISSM, CISSP)
    • A passion for cyber security and a keen interest in IT
    • IT skills, including knowledge of computer Vulnerability assessment, threat modelling, networks, operating systems and software security
    • Experience working in AWS or Azure with a strong desire to further one’s skills
    • Working knowledge of a SIEM platform, with a focus on (SIEM Configuration and Management, Log Management, Incident Detection and Response, Threat Intelligence Integration, Data Analysis, Documentation and Reporting.)
    • An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them
    • Working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
    • Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
    • Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches
    • Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized or illegal activity
    • Test and evaluate security products
    • Use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
    • Engage in 'ethical hacking', for example, simulating security breaches
    • Identify potential weaknesses and suggest measures to implement.
    • Investigate security alerts and provide incident response
    • Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorized system users
    • Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations
    • Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders
    • Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security
    • Monitor and respond to 'phishing' emails.
    • Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.

    • Verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with a range of technical and non-technical team members and other relevant individuals.

    Agile Scrum Master Project C

    Role Purpose    

    • Facilitate the Agile Scrum ceremonies for the Data switching project for BDX and Master and Transactional Data for the Guardrisk Group business.  Facilitate the administration and reporting of the progress of the overall delivery to relevant forums.

    Requirements    

    • Appropriate 3/4 year IT/Business qualification – B Com or B Sc or B (Industrial Engineering) degree or equivalent
    • Certified Scrum Master
    • At least 5+ years experience in: Agile project delivery
    • Understanding data projects
    • Knowledge of numerous well documented techniques for filling the intentional gaps left in Scrum (E.g. Burndown techniques, retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
    • Experience in managing multiple feature development in one backlog

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Ensure the Dataswitch delivery teams are practising core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility in accordance with relevant standards.
    • Support the development process, the Product Owner and the scrum delivery team to ensure delivery of solutions and product releases.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies of sprint kickoff, daily stand-ups, sprint review, and sprint retrospective in order to meet business requirements.
    • Track and communicate team velocity, sprint progress and maintain process documentation in accordance with best practice standards.
    • Use appropriate communication channels within the scrum team to create a trusting and safe team environment.
    • Assist with backlog maintenance and the facilitation of defects/bugs resolution to achieve and meet business needs.
    • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards in order to maximise team performance.
    • Mitigate external disruptions and distractions, whenever possible, to ensure optimal team effectiveness.
    • Support and educate Product Owners on maintaining the product backlog, actively managing this and preparing for next sprint.
    • Monitor and ensure that items planned for the sprint are focused on, and unplanned work is identified and raised with the Product Owner to manage expectations and delivery.
    • Provide the team with relevant prerequisites before sprints to enable them to deliver against expectations.
    • Identify key dependencies and manage them closely to ensure delivery.

    • Track and ensure that delivery takes place according to the definition of Ready and/or Done.

    • Work closely with Delivery managers / team leaders (Development and Quality Assurance) and peers to ensure the level of resources working on the sprints are of a high standard.

    • Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum,
