    Supervisor

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Performs essential duties to implement production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; Providing the work material and documentation to accomplish the manufacturing targets. The Supervisor establishes priorities; monitor progress; revise schedules; resolve problems; report results.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Responsible for Supervising and coordinating workers' activities in all phases of plant operations to meet volume, machine availability, quality and cost goals.
    • Conduct daily production meeting and report production against Planned Production Schedule. Identify risk and implement mitigation actions. Ensure production Key performance indicators are met, this includes Productivity, Efficiency, Quality, Plan attainment, Work in progress (WIP) and manage attendance.
    • Prepare and manage production schedules as communicated. This includes all resources; material, components, facilities, Labour and equipment.
    • Control and monitor direct cost of manufacturing such as consumables, oils and PPE
    • Communicate, monitor and ensure compliance on plant safety and inspections.
    • Provide training product manufacturing procedures, quality and SHEQ system, standards and procedures.
    • Ensure continuous improvement to reduce machine downtime, cost and quality.
    • Resolve plant downtime through risk assessment and task prioritization with the Process engineering and Maintenance section. Facilitate Root Cause Analysis to resolve bottleneck in the processes by liaising with cross-functional team.
    • Accountable for IR/HR related problems, which cannot be resolved at supervisor level.
    • Ensure that performance contracting (KPI) is maintained as per HR procedures and deadlines.
    • Maintain discipline and comply with company policies, practices and procedures.
    • Support company vision and value system and ensure alignment throughout the team.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE:
    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma (Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering) or Operations Management or any relevant equivalent Tertiary Qualification.
    • Must have a Minimum of 3 Years in the field of Production / Manufacturing leading a team at the Middle Management level.
    • Experience in Forging press, CNC Machining and heat treatment will be added advantage
    • Knowledge of SAP or ERP system
    • Proficient computer skills –MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a decision maker.
    • Must be prepared to work irregular hours.
    • Good interpersonal and public speaking skills.
    • Self-starter with the ability to operate with minimum supervision
    • Driven, confident, self-motivated and results orientated.

    Quality Assurance Technologist II

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
    The QA Technologist II is to maintain Quality Engineering Systems and provide Technical Support for the entire lifecycle with special reference to Process Development and Product Manufacturing Methods, Design and Research Inputs, Development, Production and Product Testing and Qualification. 

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • To ensure that RDM projects and products conform to Quality Management System and client requirements.
    • Project management of all Quality related activities during product development and transition to full-scale production.
    • Interpret, define and realize customer specific requirements per project.
    • Assist with preparation and control of all Technical Documentation of the project.
    • Compilation of process qualification specifications and reports.
    • Monitor Assembly Processes during development/production and ensure traceable Build History.
    • Compile and update Project FMECA, Process FMEA, Quality Control Plans, and Process Inspection Reports.
    • Conduct capability studies during Industrialization phase.
    • Implement, monitor and control supplier quality during process re-qualification / verification.
    • Monitor preventative and corrective actions.
    • Release of products for static and dynamic evaluation.
    • Monitor and support development and acceptance testing.
    • Evaluate and interpret test results as part of the technical team.
    • Support/Represent QA at internal and external Design, RFQ and Contract Reviews.
    • Conduct internal and external audits.
    • Control of non-conforming items during development and series production

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

    • Minimum B-degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Quality related qualification would be advantageous.
    • 3- 5 Years experience in design and development of products.
    • 3- 5 Years experience in Industrialization of products in a mechanical engineering environment.
    • Knowledge of Pyrotechnics, Mortars, Rocket and Missile Sub-systems will be an added advantage.
    • Experience in auditing and statistical techniques would be advantageous
    • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 and other related international standards.
    • Good problem solving skills, customer liaison skills as well as Human Relations skills.
    • A flexible, independent and analytical thinker with thoroughness and tenacity.
    • Fully computer literate and ability to work on different quality / statistical / MS Office Software / SAP.
    • Driver’s license (CODE B)

    Quality Intern

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
    The Quality intern is responsible for offering assistance to the team regarding preparation and execution of environmental test, insensitive munition test, static tests and other relevant test. Be able to operate various instruments, do data capturing and analyse various munitions performance and reaction.

    • Assist with the preparation and execution of environmental test.
    • Assist with the preparation and execution of insensitive munition test.
    • Assist with the investigation and experimental test.
    • Assist with lot acceptance and qualification test.
    • Calibrate electrical/electronic instruments.
    • Conduct first line maintenance/repairs.
    • Install, troubleshoot and repair equipment and system including testing equipment and programmable device.
    • Program and configure the testing range instruments.
    • Evaluate, analyse, interpret and generate test report.
    • Procurement test materials and consumables.
    • Maintain the good housekeeping of the workshops and test facilities.
    • Assist with capital project (CAPEX) process.

    WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

    • Minimum National Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
    • Individuals seeking In- service training P1 & P2, must have completed S4 subjects (optional).
    • Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
    • PicoScope and Oscilloscope.
    • Measurement system for vibration, temperature, pressure, velocity and acceleration.
    • Willingness to relocate if applicable.
    • Good communication as well as interpersonal skills.
    • Good Planning and organizational abilities.
    • Clear security screening record.
