    Ocean Freight Cross Trader Controller

    In this Ocean Freight Cross Trader Controller position

    • You will receive Estimate request from Client.                
    • You will check Ocean Freight (freight charges) in Cargo sphere - CW1 and / or Quote shop.
    • You will request rates from origin station, process estimates for customer, including dangerous goods and executing the shipments.
    • You will send Estimate to customer and follow-up with customer.                            
    • You would request SLI from customer if estimate approved and contact origin station.
    • You will arrange collection with origin station.
    • You will instruct origin to book with co loader based on the SLI / SI.
    • You will receive booking confirmation from origin station within 48hr and send to client.
    • You will once Draft bill of lading received from Origin, 2 days before ETD quality check, send to customer to quality check then submit approval to Origin.
    • You will register shipment on internal system CW1.
    • You will create a Quick booking if origin station that are not on CW1.
    • You will request commercial invoice from Customer that must be used for Import certificate application ECTN/BSC/CNCA after BOL has been approved.
    • You will quality check ETA details provided by Origin Station with shipping line ETA details, continuous process throughout the shipment life.
    • You will if there are any discrepancies enquire with Origin Station.
    • You will send out Status /Tracking report to customers, origin, and destination.
    • You will once all drafts are approved Send SOB / Pre alerts to customer / destination offices / Local Customer.
    • You will invoice shipment based on estimate or rate agreements / process billing to local customer and / or bill back to origin station.
    • You will be updating Mandatory milestones CW1.
    • You will contact customer and assisting them with ALL QUERIES including lanes that are not being handled by DGF ZA.
    • You will co-ordinate movement of cargo within required/stipulated time frames to meet customer needs.
    • You will develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
    • You will participate within the department with regards to industry or regulation changes.
    • You will support Operations and Team Leader with the implementation of new/change of systems, directives, and distribution of information to staff.
    • You will be communicating with Top management from DHL origin and destination, suppliers, consignees, shippers, CSI, Sales for specific customers.
    • You will have a good understanding of origin and destination rules and regulation for African countries.
    • You will be updating SOP for any new requirements for African Countries.
    • You will be aligning Ocean Cross Trade process with origin and destination office.

    Customer Implementation Specialist

    In this Customer Implementation Specialist position

    • You will ensure that all COP’s are completed, implemented, and reviewed.
    • You will arrange implementation call with all stakeholders (Commercial Lead, Operations, Operation Team Leads, CDZ, Finance) to ensure customer requirements are understood.
    • You will ensure that all implementation milestones are being met and managed.
    • You will ensure that all new accounts have a COP.
    • You will ensure implementation process is followed.
    • You will monitor all issues relating to COP.
    • You will assist the Commercial Team to ensure the COP contains all relevant information and is of an acceptable quality.
    • You will amend / change COP’s as/when required.
    • You will communicate the contents of the COPs to all stakeholders.
    • You will ensure that all COP’s completed are available in CW1 organization.
    • You will ensure correct information uploaded in CW1 for all new customers signed up i.e., VAT number, Customs Code.
    • You will ensure and rates are shared with the rates Management Team.
    • You will liaise and communicate with various Global Implementation Leads in completing and executing global wins / awards / renewal business through the Global RFQ as well as Country Lead Bid process.
    • You will execute and complete all tasks in Sales360 as required of the in-scope country.
    • You will ensure that the Commercial Team has offered additional services to improve our service i.e. MyDHLi, SVP.
    • You will manage and maintain CIPM Lite.
    • You will set-up weekly Implementation Meetings with Operations where required.
    • You will initiate customer improvement projects where required.
    • You will be visiting customers with the Commercial Team as part of the responsibilities for implementation.
    • You will facilitate customer implementation meetings if / when required.
    • You will be partaking in FC Training programs for the business whenever new programs And initiatives are rolled out by regional and/global FC.
    • You will be leading and driving process improvement initiatives i.e. DMAIC, PEAs - running projects for process improvements in operations and the rest of the business where required.
    • You will be partaking in other IRR initiatives and supporting the business e.g, CW, EDM, PD Boards.
    • You will act as Gatekeeper for local RFQ’s – Country Led Bid. Responsibilities include Lessons Learned from previous implementations, check for existing COP and / or Global COP (GCOP), Generate Impact customer profile, prepare Digital Footprint, Obtain Customer Requirements.
    • You will arrange Kick Off calls with countries in scope as Lead Country in the Country Led Bid (RFQ).
    • You will complete all implementation tasks in Sales360 required of the Lead IMPAT country.

    • Must have a matric
    • Business University degree
    • 3 -5 years related experience in Business process and implementation
