    Web Applications Developer

    Overall Purpose of the Job

    • The post holder will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions, web applications, custom software solutions, and automate business processes using the Microsoft technology stack.

    Systems Development 

    • Develop, configure and maintain SharePoint solutions by leveraging SharePoint configuration tools and writing custom code using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.
    • Develop custom software solutions using C# programming language and .NET framework.
    • Develop Web Applications Architectural Design and Integration
    • Build and modify wed applications using the required Web Application Languages
    • Configuring the company SharePoint systems to specified requirements.
    • Eradicate tedious workflow and duplications within existing workflows.
    • Enhance system controls in existing web applications.
    • Review and refine existing web application architectural design.
    • Oversee service providers who provides web applications development services.
    • Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.

    Business Solution Delivery

    • Deliver Business Solutions to agreed quality, time, and cost scales.
    • Deliver well-tested and quality assured Business Solutions
    • Debug software for client applications to ensure that it is fit for purpose.
    • Resolve web application issues raised during User Acceptance Testing.
    • Providing end-user training on developed and improved Web Applications.

    Liaison and Coordination

    • Oversee architectural design and integration content management, portals, collaboration, business process or other solutions.
    • Liaise with services providers and internal stakeholders to coordinate services.
    • Work with Business Analyst to interpret requirements for application enhancements and development.
    • Providing support for projects during installation and post implementation.

    System Maintenance and Support

    • Investigate and resolve application issues within the agreed SLA
      Respond to system issues, end-user queries and maintenance requests.
    • Provide user training to staff as and when requested
    • Plan and implement software version upgrade in line with software releases roadmap
    • Review website interface and software stability.
    • Maintain, support, and improve web applications.
    • Support and maintain the Website.
    • Oversee service providers who are supporting and maintaining web applications.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirement

    • National Diploma in IT or related qualification 

    Ideal

    • IT related Degree and certification in any of Microsoft Power Platforms and SharePoint Development

    Experience

    • 5 Years - SharePoint Configuration

    Investigator: Accidents and Incidents

    Overall Purpose of the Job

    •  To investigate aircraft accidents and incidents independently with the objective to prevent their re-occurrence by proposing safety recommendations and prevention programmes.

    Investigation Management 

    • Accurately collect, document, record and secure all evidence in accordance with AIID MOP policies and procedures.
    • Applies relevant legislation, regulations, procedures, and other requirements that guides investigation processes and their application in accident and incident investigation.
    • Conducts appropriate due diligence on accident and incident investigations.
    • Ensure timely dispatch to the accident/incident site to avoid loss of critical evidence and witness from engaging with each other.
    • To collect supporting evidence/data, analyse the evidence/data, develop findings from the analysis, determine cause of the accident or incident and develop safety recommendation with the aim to prevent the same/similar causes.

    Data Analysis and Reporting

    • Review and analyse all evidence using appropriate analytical tools (event checklist and report writing template) and processes as per AIID MOP and ISO procedures.
    • Conducts an in-depth analysis of problems presented during investigation processes.
    • Ensure drafting and release of a quality and technically sound:
    • Accident/incident notification
    • Preliminary accident/incident report
    • Draft and Final accident/incident report
    • Ensure that all reports are captured on ECCAIRS.
    • Ensure the submission of ADREP reports to ICAO for all accident involving aircraft above the MTOW of 2250kg and incidents above 5700kg as prescribed in the AIID MOP.
    • Ensure that safety data recording is properly analysed and researched.

    Relationship Management 

    • Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the investigation process.
    • Continuously provide updates on investigation progress as per the agreed timelines.

    Requirements 

    • Qualification

    Minimum

    • Grade 12 and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License; or Private Pilot Licence; or NQF Level 6 Engineering qualification.

    Ideal

    • CPL or ATPL or AMEL with licence on aircraft above 5700kg.

    Experience

    • 5 Years - Aircraft Maintenance Engineer OR,
    • 500 - 1000 hours – Pilot OR,
    • 5 Years - Aviation Engineer OR,
    • 3 Years - SACAA Inspectorate

    TSO: (Pilot)

    Description

    • Responsible for licensing standards and regulations for all aircrew licenses; oversight of designated flight examiners; radio telephony examiners and language proficiency examiners. As well as monitor the conduct of pilot instructors and designated examiners. 
    • Submit memos for further investigation or enforcement action against instructors and examiners.
    • Participate in review boards for the designation and redesignation of pilot instructors and designated examiners.
    • Respond to queries regarding crew licensing, instructors, designated examiners, training or assessment from industry and the Authority.
    • Provide technical assistance to other states, industry and licensing office. Participate in national seminars, conferences and workgroups related to flight instructors, designated examiners and inspectorate function.
    • Maintain procedure documents related to TSO inspectors for flight crew instructors or designated examiners.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • National Pilot License or Commercial Pilot license or Remote Pilot License with Flight instructor rating.

    Experience required:

    • Flight instructor with 100 hours or more

    Testing Standards Pilot (ERD)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    Responsible for licensing standards and regulations for all aircrew licenses; oversight of Designated flight examiners, Radio telephony Examiners and Language proficiency examiners; approval and oversight of examination centres. Monitor the conduct of pilot instructors and designated examiners.

    CATS and CAR Development

    • In co-operation with Managers: Licensing and Examinations
    • Develop
    • and implement Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) and Civil Aviation Technical Standards (CATS) for the Civil Aviation Regulations Part 61, 62, 63, 68, 69 ,71,72 in compliance with the Standards and Recommended Practices of ICAO Annex 1,

    Operational Management

    • Conduct audits and inspections as per SACAA Procedures to establish compliance.
    •  Conduct oversight on the activities of designated flight examiners, Radiotelephony examiners, Language Proficiency examiners and flight instructors
    •  Make relevant recommendations pertaining to safety management systems.
    •  Investigate regulatory non-compliances and recommend remedial or enforcement measures.
    •  Provide factual reports of audits and inspections conducted on the training organisations.
    •  Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective action and the closure of action within allocated time frames.
    •  Facilitate approval, and their maintenance with respect to Training and Procedures Manuals
    •  Support the Licensing Administration function within SACAA, including the assessment of applications, against legal requirements in accordance with the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2011, Parts ,61, 62, 63, 68, 69 and 71.
    •  Investigate and recommend action to the Director on any deviations from requirements.
    •  Introduce adequate measures to enable SACAA to effectively carry out its mandate of Safety and Security Oversight
    •  Update and amend all documentation, checklists, and procedures to ensure compliance with the regulations.
    •  Review applications for the accreditation of military experience.
    •  Review applications for the conversion of validation for foreign licenses where directed.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Grade 12
    • CPL (H) with Grade II Flight Instructor rating issued under Part 61 or SA SA Airforce instructor rating

    Ideal Qualification:

    • Airline Transport Pilot License with Grade I Flight instructor rating or SA Air Force Flight instructor rating.

    Experience required:

    • Flight Instructor rating (Part 61 or 62) or SA Air flight instructor rating with 300 hours instructor experience
