    Senior Specialist: Group Finance

    Description

    Financial administration of Incub8 with Assupol (Incub8)

    • Ensure that calculation of commission and outsourcing fees are correctly calculated
    • Ensure that payments to vendors, cells (commission) and claims are done correct and timeously
    • Ensure the recording of financial transactions and performance of monthly reconciliations
    • Recording and reporting are done in line with IFRS17, microinsurance and cell captive requirements 
    • Address queries and requests of management and cell owners 

    Compile reports 

    • Compilation of monthly financial reports to management and cell owners
    • Compile annual financial statements and oversee process to gather information for disclosure purposes
    • Meet internal and external stakeholders’ reporting requirements

    Compile and monitor Incub8’s budget 

    • Compile the annual budget and 5-year forecast and manage the budget deliverables of the various cells. 
    • Report on approved budget i.e. variances etc.
    • Maintain a pro-active budget monitoring function to manage budget overspends.

    Compile Incub8’s statutory reports

    • Compilation of statutory reports and act as liaison with external stakeholders such as the Prudential Authority.
    • Ensure timely review and sign off on statutory reports, as well as submission thereof

    Ensure Incub’s compliance with SARS requirements

    • Perform the income tax calculation of Incub8.
    • Obtain relevant information and act as liaison with external auditors regarding provisional and annual tax calculation and returns
    • Attend to enquiries received from SARS regarding income tax
    • Ensure timeous submission of all tax related matters to SARS (IT, VAT, PAYE, DWT)
    • Assist in compiling reports to and participate in the Tax Committee meetings.

    Provide assistance to SAICA training officer

    • Evaluate trainees where work is performed under this position’s supervision.
    • Supervise trainees and provide guidance to them with respect to the SAICA training programme

    Ad hoc tasks

    • Liaise with and provide deliverables requested by external audit
    • Provide assistance where ad hoc tasks are allocated to the position by management e.g. implementation of a new financial reporting standard

    Requirements

    FORMAL EDUCATION

    •  B.Com degree in Accounting Science
    •  Certificate In Theory of Accounting (Honours Degree) (CTA)

    TECHNICAL/ LEGAL CERTIFICATION 

    •  CA (SA) will be beneficial

    EXPERIENCE 

    • 3 - 5 years financial and management reporting experience in a cell captive environment
    • IFRS17 knowledge – practical, not theoretical
    • Long Term Insurance industry

    Sales Manager: Cornerstone

    Description

    • To recruit, maintain, develop sales representative and set targets within Cornerstone Regions.

    Plan and Implement Sales plan at Regional level

    • Develop sales plan to attain set goals/targets
    • Communicate the sales plan to sales teams

    Client Services Administrator: Branch Administration

    Description
    To provide professional first line support to clients and sales support

    Render client services 

    • Adhere to client service procedures: maturities, policy contracts, loan applications, cancellations, amendments, financial and general enquiries
    • Update client personal details and AIMS notes
    • Provide correct and accurate advice to clients on products and services (TCF)
    • Inform clients and update changes to their policy (TCF)
    • Liaise with relevant departments to gather information to resolve clients’ queries
    • Maintain required business retention rate
    • Handle all complaints and enquiries 
    • Escalate complaints to Office Manager and Complaints Handling Officer
