    Project Engineer

    Job Overview
    Projects Engineer coordinates all technical activities on assigned projects. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned engineering work. Ensures all plant and product projects meet quality, delivery and cost targets. Ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects within project team members and concerned functions as well as reporting to management forums like Steering Committee.

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Drive all new product launches.
    • Manage all product intro blocks.
    • Project manage major equipment investments and upgrades and all plant industrialization projects.
    • Project Manage changes using the relevant methodology (PSM, IS-GDP, DVP).
    • Analyse and propose investments, prepare business cases and cost analysis.
    • Instigate and undertake special project investigations as required.
    • Take role as Project coordinator to launch of project and implement the engineering changes to Factory
    • Support Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager to forecast the project budget and ensure project cost tracked.
    • Coordinate with UDTO IM plant coordinator to get all necessary information to launch project
    • Coordinate with project team to get all necessary information to launch project
    • Support and work on business assignment from Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
    • Be willing to travel. 

    Minimum qualifications

    • BTech/BSc/BEng in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering (Other qualifications in the science field will be considered if relevant experience can be proven).
    • Formal post graduate project management qualification is an added advantage.
    • UD PSM or Project team member (PTM) training is an added advantage.
    • 3-5 years’ experience as a Project or Process Engineer in an automotive setup, or
    • More than 5 years in production or quality as an engineer of supervisor in an automotive set up.
    • Project management (UD Project Steering Model (PSM) knowledge)
    • Automotive experience.
    • Knowledge on Project feasibility study
    • Knowledge of investment ratios like IRR, MIRR, NPV and payback period and their application.
    • Skill of project scenario regarding pro & cons.
    • Knowledge of industrialization set up
    • Good command of spoken and written English
    • Good problem-solving skill
    • Ability to work with diverse, multi-national cultures.

    Retail Development Analyst

    Job Overview

    UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This role will support, administrative sales function, verifying data submitted by the network; reconciling the information for payments to the dealer network and follow up with any outstanding documentation.

    This position is earmarked to Unemployed Youth  on a 12 month contract basis. The person applying must comply with the criteria and be registered on the Yes4Youth platform

    Responsibilities and Duties

    VMS Payment Process

    •  Confirm all the data and documentation has been uploaded on LSS.
    •  Verify data integrity.
    •  Reconcile payment and follow up with outstanding dealers.
    •  Documentation and Recons to be supplied to Business Control for final verification and payment.

    Dealer Reporting Qlik Sense

    •  Manage all templates and data capturing for the dealers operational and financial reporting.
    •  Uploading of the templates
    •  Service Departments: Parts Departments and New Vehicle Sales Reconcile data on system.

    Financial Reporting System 

    •  Assist with implementing of the reporting system,
    •  During the project implementation checks reconciliations will be allocated and where needed support given and information gathering on behalf of the suppliers.

    Minimum qualifications

    •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • At least 2 years’ experience accounting and report writing 
    • Multinational company experience is essential
    • Fluent in English, written and spoken
    • PC and MS Office proficient
    • Accounting and Dealer Management System experience
