    Job Description

    General Manager: Commercial-Assembly (Hyundai Apex - Commercial)

    Job Description    

    • The General Manager: Commercial-Assembly will be responsible for efficient and profitable plant operation and maintenance by developing efficient plant policies & procedures, continuous improvements, sound workforce relationships, safe work environment, etc. Responsible and accountable for: plant production and performance goals, as per agreed production & quality schedule.

    • Active involvement with HASA HQ & sales, HR & Finance, to ensure a smooth communication on all technical, operational, training, and financial issues and at all levels, which could potentially be detrimental to the safe and profitable operation of the plant.
    • Active involvement in diligence of and the recruitment of staff, ensure that during recruitment HASA BBBEE objectives are fulfilled.
    • Analyse, develop and forecast operations & maintenance plan & budget for the plant after SOP for 1st production year and 5 years of operations, to realize efficiency enhancements for both H78 & H100.
    • Ensure smooth daily operations and timely communication with HASA on technical, financial and operational matters.
    • Ensure periodicity and concurrence of training programs for operators (including safety / first-aid, etc.) to meet; legal, MIBCO and Youngsan requirements and product quality.
    • Develop an effective and low-cost maintenance plan of the plant to upkeep all equipment/systems as per the HASA Asset register.
    • Ensure sufficient stock of SKD b.o.m. indent ordering with Youngsan and of all consumables/spares by proactively raising purchase requisitions for optimum operational availability of the plant.
    • Reporting to HASA all operational issues, incident reports with causes and remedial actions, summary of daily production sheet, daily performance report, weekly status report, monthly performance as well as operation activities with any recommendations of modification and annual report.
    • Manage all plant resources and service providers in efficient manner for effective implementation of and adherence to corporate policy
    • Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessment are carried out, controlled and updated.
    • Ensure Legal compliance with respect to all financial, technical, operational, recruitment, procurement activities.
    • Ensure identification and record all root cause analysis for the identified non-conformances / deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions. The results and recommendations of which are to be incorporated in training programs, management action, policy changes, etc.
    • Carry out annual performance evaluation/appraisal of reporting employees.
    • Provide adequate support to carry out the internal audits in the plant and support SARS with Bond store Rebate store process verifications.
    • Ensure systematic/pragmatic closing of identified non-conformances / deviation.
    • Ensure complete security of plant premises, facilities and personnel.

    Qualifications and Experience
