    Project Manager

    Purpose: The Sales department is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead and drive projects for customer pitches and successful launches across categories.

    Role Objectives:

    • Manage Libstar export projects
    • Oversee Brand & Private Label (PL) launches
    • Serve as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders
    • Support the New Business Development manager
    • Solve problems effectively

    Key Functional Areas:

    New Business Development & Incubation:

    • Support the New Business Development manager
    • Coordinate tradeshow lead activities
    • Adapt pitch presentations and concepts on PowerPoint

    Education & Required Knowledge:

    • Degree in Business Management, Project Management, Commercial Exposure, or Product Development (advantageous) with 2 to 5 years of related experience

    Warehouse and Logistics Manager (Maitland)

    Purpose:

    • Cape Herb & Spice is seeking a Warehousing & Logistics Manager to oversee operations across multiple raw material and finished goods warehouses. This role will ensure peak efficiency in warehousing and logistics functions, focusing on stock integrity and customer satisfaction.

    Role Objectives:

    • Ensure warehouse operations achieve peak efficiency, maintaining stock integrity and customer satisfaction as primary goals.
    • Plan warehouse operations, including product handling, storage, staffing, equipment needs, gate processes, and inter-site logistics.
    • Oversee warehouse operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency and integrity.
    • Review and implement best practices and technology for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
    • Manage and train the supervisory team to address operational issues and meet performance goals.
    • Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics within the company.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company standards and complying with legal regulations.

    Key Functional Areas:

    Warehousing Function:

    • Develop and align the overall warehouse strategy and annual operations plan with the business strategy.
    • Lead and develop the warehouse supervisory team.
    • Optimize warehousing operations to ensure productivity, inventory integrity, and compliance with systems and process controls.
    • Manage the bond store/rebate store to ensure compliance with SARS regulations.
    • Monitor performance and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement and redesign warehousing processes.
    • Manage warehouse costs in line with the budget.
    • Meet with warehouse Supervisors to analyze performance and develop plans for loss prevention.
    • Regularly report on warehouse performance metrics.
    • Conduct stock counts across multiple warehouse sites.
    • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Food Safety regulations.
    • Ensure warehouses meet customer service expectations.

    Logistics Function:

    • Manage and develop the shipping team/department.
    • Negotiate contracts with logistics and shipping suppliers.
    • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
