    Lead Packaging Technologist: Culinary

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    As Snr Packaging Technologist you will assume the lead role for key supplier and external customer interface within the material specialization. You are responsible for the successful coordination of the development and launch of good quality, differentiated, and cost effective packaging innovations across multiple packaging substrates. This includes leading the interface with Supply Chain during the optimization of packaging machines as well as the re-engineering and of existing packaging. You will develop both deep material expertise (sourcing, design, manufacture) and deep category expertise and become known in the organisation for this and your ability to influence the design and/or selection of new packaging machines. You will ensure that documentation and reporting around packaging development and timely and concise. Where necessary you will work with and manage packaging suppliers to deliver packaging product.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Develop the packaging design and work with Product Technologist and Supply Chain to ensure that it supports both the product requirements and the manufacturing requirements. Create the packaging specification and requirements to support this.
    • From development, manage the packaging for innovation through to commercialisation and smooth manufacturing.
    • Support Supply Chain on existing packaging where problems may occur and focus on re-engineering and cost efficiency improvements.
    • Work with Packaging Optimisation Specialist and NPD Manager to appropriately allocate your time and expertise to the projects and Category partners.
    • Engage with procurement regarding supplier selection and work with Supply Chain to determine plant requirements and Capex investment if necessary. Complete machine diagrams/ die lines and get it signed off by the unit. Determine pallet pattern.
    • If appropriate, work with external suppliers to jointly design and develop packaging. This includes the design and management of packaging specifications and requirements for manufacture
    • Develop deep material expertise through working on specific projects, carrying out research, and working with suppliers. Work with Packaging Manager to decide how to capture and share this knowledge.
    • Work with Packaging Optimisation Specialist, Supply Chain, and NPD Managers to ensure that packaging design changes are carried out in a controlled and consistent fashion.

    Manufacturing Analyst: Culinary

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    You are responsible for applying financial and costing analysis expertise to drive continuous improvement in the factory/ manufacturing unit in order to maintain and improve operating efficiencies, reduce cost and improve sustainability. You will also be responsible for the administration around purchasing, HR as well as the stock management process.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure that paper transaction records are maintained and filed accordingly.
    • Training production staff to complete basic system transactions, to ensure that proper governance processes are followed. Assist in developing SOPs in this regard as and when the need arises.
    • Assist in identifying and elimination of critical variances in the different cost centres.
    • Perform a statistical trend analyses on critical costs.
    • Compile, extract all necessary reports from Oracle to assist relevant managers in making decisions as well as all stock management reports.
    • Confirming / or executing material issues and returns in accordance with governance guidelines
    • Track the financial benefits associated with the various Focussed Improvement projects the site will undertake from time to time.
    • Leverages communities of Practice (CoP) for knowledge management and sharing expertise. Maintaining the on-site fixed asset register
    • Act as a custodian for the Procure-to-Pay process (all administration and communication with the relevant SSC departments), production management as well as stock management process. Attendance of stock counts is essential.
    • Ensure all purchase orders are created and approved as per SOP’s and guidelines.
    • Manage Time and attendance through SACO system
    • Support the business with HR admin duties, which includes recruitment of seasonal employees, keeping time records, leave administration via HRSSC for non-system users
    • Assist employees with day-to-day payroll/ HR queries

    Customer Marketing Manager: HPC

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    You are accountable for all the selling activities across the portfolio for your assigned category. In close collaboration with the Marketing, Customer and Operational teams, you need to achieve our growth targets in your category as well as deliver customer-specific programs and category management expertise to the customer.  You own the shopper proposition, and you use your shopper understanding to deliver coordinated, innovative, cross-functional sales value to the customer.
