    Site Clerk (Kwazulu Natal)

    Description

    • Stefanutti Stocks Coastal is looking for an enthusiastic Site Clerk to join the team. Applicant will assist Site Mangement on all matters related to the administration of the contract.

    Primary duties will include:

    • Assist with the recruitment, transfer, and termination of core labour. Prepare and submit weekly labour lists and provide appropriate termination notices.
    • Ensure accurate clocking/scanning of employee cards, recording and forwarding hours, verifying wage printouts, auditing wages, checking wage cost reports, and completing deduction forms.
    • Implement a standard account filing system, assist with the preparation of monthly accounts by filing and matching invoices.
    • Arrange purchase orders with buying department.
    • Calculate month end provisions and manage open orders.

    • Assess site requirements and implement the required administration systems eg. Stores stock programme, fuel recon programme, formwork reconciliations etc.
    • Control petty cash on site by keeping a record of all expenditure.
    • Maintain accurate records of all plant equipment, ensuring proper documentation for all materials and goods received, and regularly forwarding authorized GRNs to Head Office.
    • Ensure that stock and assets are documented and accounted for.
    • Ensure that diesel issues are recorded and entered onto the weekly reconciliation spreadsheet for comparison and reconciliation.
    • Review and correct site cost ledger.
    • Maintain site formwork register on excel spreadsheet and agree this on a weekly basis on receipt of weekly yard invoice/s.
    • Arrange site functions as and when required.

    • Trade in Earth Moving Mechanic
    • 15 years’ experience working with Earth moving and Roads construction machinery and 10 years’ OEM Diagnostic software experience
    • Must have knowledge of OEM Drivetrain and Hydraulic Training, Tribology, Fleet and Site operations
    • Provide Technical training & Mentorship to EMM
    • Implementing and Monitoring adherence to policies & procedures

    Site Engineer (Kwazulu Natal)

    Role Purpose: 

    • Coordinate technical control aspects of contracts and providing advice on the technical interpretation of specification requirements, while also controlling and interpreting cost data.

    Primary duties will include:

    • Assist with the determination of targets, sequence, method, resources and program for the allocated work according to allowables.
    • Scrutinize the plans/drawings, identify and report any items to be ordered for the Architects approval to the Site Agent/Snr Site Engineer.
    • Monitor and measure progress in respect of program and timeously report variances to the relevant manager.
    • Monitor labour, plan and materials requirements and based on reconciliation of plans ensure all orders are timeously placed for labour, Plant material and Sub-contractors.
    • Prepare and submit reports to the relevant manager on areas such as work progress, costs, and scheduling.
    • Compile up to date and accurate Site records in consultation with Quantity Surveyor including, Dayworks, sub-contractor contra charges, etc. for approval and authorization by the relevant QS.
    • Assess site requirements and implement the required administration systems eg. Stores stock programme, fuel reconciliation programme, formwork reconciliations etc.
    • Implement the Project Quality plan in accordance with project and policy requirements and monitor and ensure achievement of quality standards of drawings and specifications.
    • Maintain accurate records of all plant equipment, ensuring proper documentation for all materials and goods received, and regularly forwarding authorized GRNs to Head Office.
    • Ensure that stock and assets are documented and accounted for.

    Traffic Safety Officer (Nationwide)

    Description:

    • Stefanutti Stocks Inland is currently seeking a dynamic, deadline driven, self-starter for the position of Traffic Safety Officer for our site based in Fochville. The successful incumbent will be responsible for all site traffic management duties and related matters and will act as facilitator and coordinator of the various activities. Strong client liaison skills are imperative.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. Own transport is a pre-requisite. This position requires five years' experience in the capacity of Traffic Safety Officer.
    • Previous experience of working on SANRAL, COLTO contracts as well as previous exposure to, or experience in sound health and safety practices on site will be an advantage.
    • Excellent knowledge of the OHS Act is required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Traffic management duties including the development of traffic management plans and daily traffic reports.
    • Risk Management: Co-ordination of and consulting of Risk Assessments and implementation of controls.
    • Incident / Accident investigation.
    • Assessment and co-approval of contractor files and assisting where necessary.
    • Liaise with the Site Agents and Production Manager daily, using a Daily Traffic Report, in order to maintain proper traffic arrangements.
    • Compile and maintain daily records of traffic signs installed and the traffic sign sequence at each location during execution of road works.
    • Inspect and report to the Site Agents on the state of all required road signs as often as required.
    • Exercise control over Traffic Safety regarding the safe movement of personnel, visitors, and plant on site including the wearing of High Visibility and Reflective clothing, the operation of amber lights on plant and sign stations and the cleanliness of “Construction Vehicle/Traffic Control” signs.
    • Be responsible for ensuring all temporary road signs and cones are maintained in a good state of repair, that all signs are clean and visible at all times.
    • Compile complete records of all traffic accident scenes, which are in any way connected to construction activities, and draw up accident reports (including amongst others photographs, witness statements, 3rd party details).
    • Attend to the training and performance of Flagmen and all other personnel involved in traffic control.
    • Attend to complaints and claims received from the public, as related to the traffic safety, and report this to both the Site Agent and the Engineer.
    • Record all damaged traffic signs and delineators and ensure signed off by the RE on a daily basis.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12, Accredited Traffic Management Course, SAMTRAC or similar OHS Qualification.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction environment including road and bridge works.
    • Legal Liability.
