    Cloud Project Manager

    Description

    • The Cloud Projects Manager has the overall responsibility of designing and executing a cloud migration strategy solution with our customers, service delivery teams, and third-party partners. 
    • The Cloud Projects Manager works closely with Cloud Solution Architects, Cloud Operations Engineers and Cloud Delivery Engineers, along with external IT consultants and service providers to ensure the delivery of Cloud projects. Understand the adoption challenges in migrating on premise infrastructure and application portfolios and will be able to bridge the gaps during the migration strategy design process.

    Project Delivery

    • Manage the assurance of Cloud project delivery through / by: -
    • Ensuring effective communication at all stages of a project
    • Maintaining a well document project delivery process with clear reporting requirements
    • Complying with all additional delivery process and change management requirements for successful project delivery
    • Provide yearly inputs for process reviews
    • Produce reports to measure project delivery performance during and after completion of all projects
    • Evaluating our delivery methods and implementing industry best practices adopted to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
    • Oversee the deployment customer solutions based on best practices including migrations, cloud networking and new set-ups

    Customer & Vendor Management

    • Maintain accurate customer records, project documentation and technical documentation for each project
    • Conduct regular customer feedback surveys and report on improvements required for all Cloud services
    • Maintain a clear overview of all projects, their revenue and cost and performance to milestones, along with resource consumption 
    • Maintain accurate third-party vendor documentation, including quotations, proposals, diagrams, certifications, and proof of execution
    • Monitor all vendor service delivery and define reporting, escalation and remediation processes
    • Maintain records for internal and external resources available for Cloud Project Delivery including internal staff, and external service providers

    Internal Engagement

    • Cross functional engagements, Sales support, Service Desk, Products, Bid Office & engagement with Engineering
    • Training for sales, architects, customer employees and product teams
    • Assist with technology selection and vendor selection for product management

    Technical

    • Leading the solutions architects and Cloud engineering teams to iterate through design and deployment tasks to identify dependencies and resolving design conflicts to ensure project success
    • Maintaining an up-to-date skillset that translates into secure, cost-effective project delivery aligned to industry best practices

    Requirements

    Qualifications 

    • Degree in IT, Project Management or Business-related field and Post-Graduate Essential
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Project Management Essential
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Essential
    • Microsoft 365 Fundamentals Preferred
    • Additional Microsoft or AWS Cloud-related certifications
    • Industry certification e.g. ITIL, Cisco (CCNP, CCDP, and above), CECP(MEF) or similar Preferred

    Experience

    • Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects, ideally in an IT or managed service provider setting
    • Experience in business processes and outsourced services
    • Demonstrate the ability to lead complex teams, managing internal and external resources
    • Experience working in a close Agile / Scrum team an advantage
    • 4 years' in-depth knowledge of various IT or Telecoms technology architecture domains and convergence

    Knowledge Areas

    • In-depth understanding of IT services, IT service delivery and IT project management 
    • An in depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud solutions and experienced in integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models 
    • Experience in evaluating existing digital strategies 
    • Experience in conducting operations analysis, TCO analysis, security considerations as part of a wider Cloud Adoption Framework 
    • Knowledge of converged solutions design and development, as it relates to Cloud services and unified communications 
    • Cross Domain Technology Architecture knowledge coupled with implementation experience 

    Skills/Competencies

    • PMP or Prince2 Project Management certification
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or similar certification advantageous
    • Good understanding of technology, products and services offered by LIT and in the telecommunications industry
    • Industry knowledge of Data Centre trends, Software Defined Data Centres, Hyper Convergence, Cloud Technologies (Public, Private and Hybrid)

    Principal/Lead Cloud Solutions Architect - GCP

    Role Purpose

    As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Principal Cloud Solution Architect, the incumbent’s role is to advise our client companies on their cloud computing strategy, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.

    The incumbent will oversee the architecture and deployment in cloud environments and deliver hands-on, business-oriented strategic and technical consulting to our clients for cloud infrastructure, automation solutions, and solution architecture. In addition to the responsibilities of a Cloud Solution Architect, as a Google Principal Cloud Solution Architect, the incumbent will lead the presales and consulting practice and have the following primary responsibilities related to Google Cloud.

    Role Description

    Architecture

    • Customer satisfaction through feedback from clients on their level of satisfaction with the architects work in helping them achieve cloud objectives.
    • Cloud adoption rate: Measured through the number of new cloud solutions or won opportunities by C2 in a given period.
    • Solution design quality measured by number and quality of design documents produced for solutions measured against set quality standards.
    • Feedback, Solution, Design and Proposal delivery time measured by the time it takes for incumbent to deliver required artifacts.
    • Provide periodic inputs for process reviews and improvements across C2, networks and cross functional teams.
    • Evaluates cloud architecture performance utilization, using vendor and other tools to make recommendation where applicable.
    • Proposals and solution that achieve cost savings, optimisation and improvements in managing cloud expenses.
    • Delivering solution designs for customer solutions based on best practices including migrations, cloud networking and new set-ups.

    Cloud Infrastructure & partner engagement

    • Reviewed, analysed, and created prototype for Cloud services as proof of concepts (POCs) for GCP and other solutions withing the C2 portfolio.
    • Proposals that contain capacity and architecture plan to create cloud environment to host migrated IaaS VMs and PaaS role instances for refactored applications and databases.
    • Implement a structured design process for creating a hybrid or public cloud architecture.
    • Proposals and solution that achieve cost savings, optimisation and improvements in managing cloud expenses.
    • Design frameworks for Cloud platform Implementation, Testing and Acceptance.
    • Work with third parties and partners to propose and recommend cloud solutions for custom requirements or outsourced skill sets.
    • Non-standard/complex solutions - Cross functional engagements, Sales support, Service Desk, Products, Bid Office & engagement with Engineering.
    • Training for sales, architects, customer employees and product teams. Assist with technology selection and vendor selection for product management/ideation.                           

    Technical

    • Proficiency in Cloud computing technologies and related industry trends.
    • Participation in training, certifications, and industry events.
    • Leading the architects to iterate through design steps and tasks to identify dependencies and resolving design conflicts where a design decision made.
    • Repeating the process until all considerations are incorporated into the final architecture design.
    • Leading and mentoring junior team members.
    • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver successful Cloud Solutions.

    Requirements

    • Degree in IT or Engineering related field and post-Graduate:Essential
    • Google cloud Professional Architects & Google Associate Cloud Engineer:Essential
    • Other Industry certifications:Preferred
    •  Supporting / Managing cloud-based infrastructure.
    • 5-10 years demonstrable experience in architecting large-scale cloud migration projects.

    Regional HOD: Eastern Cape

    Role Purpose

    To provide leadership to the Public-Sector Sales segment by directing the development of short and long-range objectives, strategy, policies, budgets and operating plans for the segment. The role is focused on Maintain and grow sales and revenue from existing and new clients and secure profit contribution by managing a division, establishing and accomplishing business objectives. acquiring blue chip accounts, growing listed accounts, delivering targeted Contracted Revenue and margin growth. 

    Role Description

    • Drive the strategic plan to advance the segments strategic goals and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth. Plan, develop and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenue for the company. Formulate and execute strategic policies. Review group policy matters and ensure they are carried out. Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
    • Evaluate performance of employees for compliance with established plies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives. Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings and at formal functions. Promote the company to local, regional and national constituencies. Relationship building with stakeholders at a high level. High level of knowledge of clients’ business. Drive new business development.Responsible for achieving revenue and profit targets. Recommend future Capital Expenditure needs and requirements through business cases.
    • Develop sales strategy for the segment to achieve annual target. Constantly attempt to grow profit levels through innovative ideas, new business and client spend enhancement. Lead team (through Sales Managers) or directly to understand the Customer’s business and the associated strategies, plans, competitive position and trading methods in order to create a partnering concept to build solutions. Oversee day to day operations of specific sales segments. Provide strategic direction to the sales segment based on targets and market dynamics. Focus on short-term and long-term objectives. Provide inputs on investments based on customer growth plans, market trends, emerging growth markets and business needs.
    • Identifies and pursues large strategic solution sales opportunities and leads. Directs strategic account planning and leadership in all prospective targeted accounts within Blue Chip account list. Ensures account plans are presented in accordance with the Big Deal process. Analyses statistical data related to prospective client’s businesses and industries to identify market trends for products and services to assist with growing and winning new business.
    • Formulates strategies to market for nominated accounts in conjunction with the propositions and industry vertical. Drives accelerated revenue growth by identifying potential markets for new and existing products and services in acquisition accounts. Delivers the necessary input to bid centre to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality bid proposals for prospects.
    • Develops partnerships on account strategies. Develops an acquisition relationship plan for accounts. Accountable for CRM input and strategic account and deep dives. Drive innovation programmes and customer events. Direct virtual teams during sales process, including unsolicited proposals and business case proposals to clients. Facilitate account relationships at CXO level. Assist KAM’s in transforming the value proposition to include digital solution selling.                 
    • Evaluates performance, risks in nominated accounts and revises plans where appropriate. Establishes appropriate relationships with Liquid customers and leverages those relationships to win new business. Secure, manage and deepen the Liquid customer relationship with the long-term focus of expanding the overall product suite and the introduction of specific propositions as well as introduction of new products over an agreed time span.Ensure cross divisional functions work collaboratively within Liquid Telecom to drive the sales agenda and ensure alignment with overall customer strategy. Pre and post sales fulfilment in areas to ensure seamless introduction of new products, services and propositions to Blue Chip accounts.
    • With the support of the Bid Office, actively participates in the development of high quality, strategic proposals which incorporate key solutions.Provides an executive summary that is customer specific, to be incorporated into the proposal. Responsible for the follow-up presentation associated with a proposal submission. Oversees, reviews, approves and provides “C” level sponsorship for proposal undertaken by bid team.  
    • Introduce, vet, lobby for service providers to be used in preparing holistic proposals for clients for us to compete successfully. Ability to contribute and provide business cases to “C” Blue Chip accounts prior to RFP releases to avoid the lengthy RFP process and increase the win ratio.

    Requirements

    • Undergraduate technical / professional degree: Essential
    • MBA or appropriate Post Graduate degree: Desirable
    • 8 Years proven track record of target driven sales achievement in experience in ICT sector essential:Essential 
    • 5-8 years complex and Solution Sales experience (Digital is an advantage): Essential
