    Greenfield Accounts Lead

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Work closely with Strategic Accounts Managers and the Salesforce to drive lead generation and develop new business opportunities mainly for new strategic accounts (Greenfield Accounts).
    • Build relationships with target accounts, understand their needs and priorities, help shape their value agenda and articulate relevant solutions and value propositions.
    • Coordinate internally to ensure a smooth and integrated sales process.
    • Lead deal negotiations and manage the closure of deals.
    • Coordinate the solution delivery to ensure that planned business outcomes are met for the customer and Medtronic.
    • Manage the account on an ongoing basis, ensure satisfaction and value generation, identify and harness next waves of opportunities.
    • Conduct market research and work with key customers and other stakeholders to identify and/or develop new solution/service opportunities in the market for new accounts.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields.
    • 5 to 7+ years of experience in sales and/or project management within life science industry ideally in medical device.
    • Verbal and written fluency in English, Russian or Arabic is an advantage.
    • Willingness to travel up to 50-70%.
    • Proven track record of experience in a consultative sale of complex solutions within healthcare with strong project management skills to handle high complexity deals in a fast-growing environment
    • Excellent project management skills with finance acumen
    • Lean or Six Sigma experience within a big consulting firm in healthcare environment is highly preferred for this role.

    Senior Country Leader South Africa

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the South Africa commercial organization, whilst building on collaborative engagements between commercial teams, support functions, enablers and other related critical business functions.
    • Develop and execute business plans for growth of the South Africa private and public sector markets, and the well-being of customers and patients.
    • Analyze and develop strategies related to evolving market trends and competition, to identify business opportunities and develop and execute new go-to-market strategies.
    • Represent Medtronic in the local Market, responsible for establishing and managing strong relationships with key decision makers, government networks and ensuring legal compliance, reimbursement, and distribution strategies.
    • Manage and implement the necessary transformation and change management strategies in areas such as talent management, territory alignment, sales and sales management practices.
    • Partnering with the Businesses to implement market penetration strategies, identify key growth drivers and address market barriers.
    • Engage and strengthen KOL relationships; provide focus/business alignment of local distributor partners and consultants.
    • Validate and provide market intelligence data.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Regulatory, and Quality to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to the market.
    • Work in conjunction with the local organizations and other shared services within Medtronic as well as within the business units to create and execute long term strategies that will drive the full potential of the business in the South Africa healthcare market.
    • The Sr. Director of South Africa is a member of the Medtronic CEE & Africa RLM Leadership Team and reports to the RVP CEE & Africa.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

    • Post Graduate University degree in Business, Sciences and or related discipline. MBA / master’s in business or economics qualifications preferred.
    • Minimum 15 years of relevant solid sales/general management experience.
    • Proven track record of achieving commercial targets and managing P&L.
    • Advanced skills in strategic planning and execution.
    • Ability to build and develop high performance and cohesive teams. Experience in leading and motivating a team of commercial professionals.
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • System Thinking & Ability to make complex simple.
    • Learning Agility.
    • Familiarity with local regulations.
    • English is the primary business requirement, additional local languages would be advantageous.
    • Ability to travel 50%+ of the time.
