    HR Admin Assistant - Epping

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist with the general administrative tasks for the HR Department
    • Assist with the full recruitment cycle by drafting adverts, advertising, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, interviewing for entry level positions and conducting employment checks
    • On boarding of new employees as and when required
    • Maintain and manage the personal records of employees on matters relating to wages, leave and training
    • Assist training and development with administrative functions as and when required

    Qualifying Criteria:

    • Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • Knowledge of the LRA and BCEA
    • 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills on all levels
    • Confidentiality, tact and discretion essential when dealing with people
    • Computer Literacy viz. Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work within a team and independently
    • Time management and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy

    Semi Skilled Boilermaker

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Housekeeping: Ensuring the cleanliness of all work stations and areas surrounding them
    • Assisting the Manager / Supervisor with Ad hoc duties
    • Assist with general work tasks and upkeep of structural machines
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations and instructions and advise the responsible person whenever there are risks identified
    • Check and Report on any deviations/faults that may occur
    • Any other work tasks as operationally required

    Abilities & technical competencies required:

    • Attention to detail and an preventative approach to troubleshooting
    • Good eye-hand co-ordination
    • Good written, verbal and listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
    • Good team player – able to balance team and individual responsibilities
    • Ability to read and interpret drawings from Engineers
    • Ability to plan and coordinate tasks
    • Oxy-Acetylene cutting experience (2 years)
    • Hydraulic/pneumatic tool experience
    • Welding experience
    • Computer literacy

    Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:

    • Matric
    • 3-5 years Boilershop work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    • Knowledge about Health & Safety Protocols
    • Knowledgeable about all operational aspects of a plant, i.e.
    • Good physical health.
    • Own reliable transport

    Qualified Boilermaker

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a qualified boilermaker with minimum 5 - 8 years working experience
    • Must have own transport and a valid unendorsed license
    • Must be able to work overtime, public holidays and weekends if required
    • Must be available for callouts when needed
    • Must be available for December and Easter shutdowns
    • Previous working experience in a steel environment (Meltshop)will be an advantage
    • Must have extensive knowledge of structural steel with the ability to read drawings and build equipment with minimum supervision
    • Must be able to work well within a team environment
    • Must be able to work independently when required
    • Ability to work under challenging conditions
    • Must have basic knowledge of Health & Safety Rules
    • Good communication skills
    • Knowledge of various hand and workshop tools is an advantage
    • Must not have a fear of heights or confined spaces
    • Must have experience with Automated Maintenance systems
    • Must have good fitness levels and mobility

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for manufacture/fabrication/assembly and or erection of work
    • Responsible for day to day maintenance of machinery in and around the plant
    • Responsible for attending to breakdowns of machinery in and around the plant
    • Will perform daily inspection of the plant (RCM: Reliable Centralized Maintenance system)
    • General housekeeping in and around the boilermaker workshop

    Excavator / Grab Operator

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Must be able to do basic mathematical calculations to ensure correct process parameters
    • Blend the scrap mix to ensure that changes are in conformance to melting specifications.
    • Ability to operate excavator in confined spaces.
    • Monitor the charging and melting of steel to determine conformance to melting specifications
    • Operates forklift, grab and front end loader during routine performance of duties.
    • Recognizes waste streams and minimizes waste generation
    • Removes billets from the production areas and ensuring proper quality checks and identification
    • Conducts inspection of assigned equipment and communicates to management any machine malfunctions.
    • Conduct daily inspection of relevant work areas and report possible failures or unsafe working conditions.
    • Effectively operate excavator to achieve set daily targets and to minimize down time.
    • Ability to analyze potential failures and communicate accordingly with possible solutions in a timeous manner
    • Continuously assess safe working practices and ensure that all incidents are recorded and addressed promptly.
    • Ensure shift handover is conducted thoroughly in the melt shop fifteen minutes before the start of each shift and ensure that all issues are reported clearly.
    • Abiding by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company policies

    Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:

    • Matric (Maths Compulsory)
    • Valid Excavator License
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience as an excavator operator in a similar environment.
    • Strong knowledge of mobile machinery.
    • Ability to detect machine discrepancies.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
    • Willingness to work overtime and SHIFTS
    • Must consistently be conscious of and compliant with Health & Safety rules and regulations
    • Good communication skills
    • In good health, physically fit
