    Team Leader

    Job Description Summary

    • The position is that of a Team Leader who will be required to manage and lead a Technical Claims team to achieve the business objectives and improve customer experience.

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    Manages daily operational delivery within specific functional area.

    • Delivers, maintains and enhances service and work standards within a given process.
    • Manage employee wellbeing and morale and other people management processes( such as Recruitment, Performance and Talent management)
    • Accountable for management of work volumes and workflow.
    • Establishes and maintains client relationships both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Could take accountability for the implementation of an operational project.
    • Extensive experience in day to day management
    • Identifies and propose solutions and actions to workflow trends.

    Personal Effectiveness

    • Accepts and lives the company values.
    • Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
    • Collaborates effectively with others to achieve results.
    • Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods
    • of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.

    • Adheres to service and quality standards.

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric essential with a post graduate qualification such as Business Administration, Business Management etc. 
    • Experience with People and workflow management essential.
    • Experience with managing professional and skilled Claims Assessors and Managers of all levels.
    • Well- developed written and verbal communication skills
    • Life insurance product and process knowledge beneficial.
    • Excellent communication skills in English (full fluency) with an additional African language advantageous
    • Proficient in MS Office suites i.e.  Word, Excel, Powerpoint
    • Self- managed and strong team player.
    • Oversee reporting, planning & internal audit procedures
    • Excellent work ethic with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Deadline and Target driven.
    • Ability to work under pressure and work across divisions.
    • High sense of client care.
    • Strong focus on attention to detail.
    • Keep abreast of all product, process and system changes and developments.
    • Must be able to work at flexible times (flexible start times from 08h00 to 8h30)& end the day at flexible times (flexible end times from 16h30 to 19h00 accordingly) these hours might change in order to meet business needs
