    Project Controller

    Your role

    • Prepare and participate in monthly project financial reviews with project management team to ensure financial compliance on projects
    • Create optimal project budgets and prepare forecasts and cost tracking for all projects.
    • Reside in the Business Control function reporting to Manager: Business Control
    • Establish and rollout the necessary framework, processes and standards to support the project financial process
    • Baseline projects in line with budget
    • Ensure that projects are accounted for in accordance to Accounting Standards (IFRS), VAT
    • and Income Tax Act, SA Reserve Bank Regulations and Export Control Regulations
    • Track and report project finance, gross margin, work in process, warranty, risk and estimated cost to complete, in co-operation with project management in accordance with Group Policy
    • Assist Project Management and Operations with all project related queries
    • Monthly reporting and reconciliation on projects
    • Initiate, communicate and ensure the implementation of learning and growth activities in conjunction with the line manager and Human Resources
    • Effective communication and co-operation with Project Management, Commercial,
    • Marketing and Sales and Supply Chain organization
    • Co-operation and assistance to External Auditors

    Your profile

    Specialist knowledge:

    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office) especially Excel
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to interact with various internal and external parties on various levels
    • Able to take ownership and responsibility for the function
    • Ability to work in pressurized environment and meet deadlines
    • Ability to adapt to constant change
    • Knowledge of IFS
    • Previous experience in project finance environment will be an advantage

    Experience:

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a project finance environment

    Competencies:

    • Planning and scheduling
    • Monitoring and control

    Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance or accounting or equivalent
