Lecturer: Agricultural Extension - Alice Campus at University of Fort Hare

Minimum Requirements:

• A Doctoral degree in Agricultural Extension or in the final year of their Doctorate.
• Teaching experience at a tertiary institution.
• Research experience supported by either a publication record in DHET-accredited journals, successful post-graduate supervision or evidence of attracting research funding.

Duties:

• Teach undergraduate and Honours courses in Agricultural Extension and any other courses assigned to you by the Head of Department.
• Participate in regular recurriculation of modules or programme reviews.
• Develop research within the area of Agricultural Extension and rural/agricultural development.
• Attract research funding.
• Supervise Honours, Master’s, and Doctoral students.
• Participate in community engagement.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.
• The successful candidate will be required to register for a Postgraduate diploma in Higher Education.
