    Learning Specialist

    Job Description    

    • An opportunity exists in the Learning & Development Division of Forvis Mazars; an international professional services firm, based at Forvis Mazars House in beautiful Century City, Cape Town.

    Purpose of the job:

    • As a Learning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing employees‘ skill, knowledge and performance, within our organisation. This will require collaborating with various stakeholders in the business, in which you will fulfil each step of the learning process.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Consult with stakeholders to:
    • create learning paths
    • identify learning opportunities
    • design learning through various mediums
    • facilitate training through a variety of delivery methods
    • assess and measure learning transference
    • provide constructive feedback for continuous growth
    • Project manage and be fully responsible for the design and delivery of various leadership programmes

    Minimum Requirements    
    Min of 1 year:

    • L&D TNA /consulting experience
    • L&D material design experience for contact, blended and distance learning
    • L&D Facilitator experience – leadership and/or soft skills
    • L&D Assessing & reporting

     Essential:

    • Certificate ODETDP
    • Expert soft skills and/or leadership knowledge
    • Good interpersonal skills & effective communication
    • Creativity, problem solving and critical thinking and project management skills
    • Intermediate: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
    • Ability to work independently & be a team contributor
    • Travel nationally, as required

     Advantageous:

    • Coaching/ mentoring experience
    • Knowledge of LMS
    • Knowledge of SharePoint
    • Familiar with Easygenerator and/or other e-learning programmes
    • Insights accredited and/or knowledge of Insights
    • Experience in a fast-paced environment
    •   Shortlisted candidates will be required to present the below during their interview:
    • Evidence of online instructional design
    • Evidence of contact design
    • Deliver a 15-minute presentation on a soft skills topic of choice
