IT Technician at ElectroMechanica

We are looking for a IT Technician to maintain our computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality and optimising the role of technology in our business sustainability. Your duties will also include support for users of the systems and ensuring appropriate and safe performance of our IT infrastructure.

You should have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. We also expect you to have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.

IT Technician responsibilities are:

• Install and manage workstations with computers and necessary devices, such as printers 
• Maintenance of network infrastructure in ways that optimise performance
• Monitor computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure its normal performance
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
• Support users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
• Schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
• Detect, diagnose and troubleshoot to problems, related to hardware, software or organisational activities
• Keep records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
• Detect computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
• Basic troubleshooting of computers and routers as well as repairs
• Support for Printers, mobile devices, virtual board rooms, telephones, projectors, etc

IT Technician requirements are:

• 2+ years' experience of working on an IT Technician with experience in hardware / software support
• Solid experience of working with diverse computer systems and networks
• Qualification related to computer science/IT. MSCE will be an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Good communication, organisational and time-management skills
• Able to work on Chrome OS As well as MAC OS
• Able to work on Windows 7, 8, 10 as well as older versions
• Ability to support google applicationsAbility to support office applications (eg microsoft word , excel etc)
