Head Information Technology Solutions at Cipla

Job Purpose: Manage, design and monitor all IT related activities for SAGA through delivery of network infrastructure, data administration and IT support coordination to ensure proper flow of streamlined operation of the IT group in alignment with and delivery of organisational business objectives. Driving the implementation of the digital project portfolio to ensure sustainable digital solutions are delivered to the business to enable the functional capabilities of the Cipla business.

Major Activities / Tasks

Management

• Involved in feasibility/new projects relating to IT infrastructure
• Reporting on performance of department for management purposes
• Involved in month end and year end processing/closing when needed
• Continually assess the needs of the company and its users to determine how best to leverage the IT systems to benefit the business
• Also identify weaknesses or opportunities to optimize and strengthen the user
• Team management – It is critical for the candidate to provide mentorship and support to the IT team. These include permanent team members, external partners and business IT partners.
• Custodian of the IT Forum – where our we provide feedback to our business and also given them an opportunity to engage us on our operations and project portfolio.
• Continuous team management and review of operations.

Integral Software Systems

• SAP ECC and EWM support
• Creation of reports and data for operational use
• Security and health of the system
• BMI system support
• (time keeping and access control) setup and optimization (company and user wise)
• Creation of reports and data for operational use

• Microsoft Office Suite of applications – setting up and providing support to users
• Data extraction of all software systems to suit the needs of the company

Vendor Management

• Responsible management of our vendor relationships

Portfolio Management

• This reflects about 50-60% of the role.
• 5+ experience in portfolio management
• Experience / portfolio evidence of successful implementations – full end to end management.
• ERP experience and implementations
• Stakeholder management is crucial – both internal and external

Educational Qualifications

• Matric (English, Maths, Physics, Accounting)
• Degree Computer Systems
• Certifications advantages
• TOGAF Advantages
• Portfolio Management mandatory

Relevant Experience

• 10+ Years IT Experience
• Pharmaceutical / Manufacturing environment or similar advantages
• Strong communication skills, coordination skills and problem solving & decisions making skills.
• Exceptionally good at being a change agent and a digital thought leader
