    Cluster Specialist

    Role Profile:
    The H Band Cluster Specialist role is based within the Consumer Business Unit.

    • The successful candidate will be a dynamic member of the commercial planning team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality business insights into the Customer Care Operations as well as answering ad hoc requests / questions. The successful candidate is an internal consultant to senior leadership providing competitive intelligence and tactical insights into Customer care markets / partners thereby helping key internal stakeholders make informed strategic decisions and choices
    • You will need to further ensure the efficient administration of monthly reconciliations as well as to administer commercial agreements and RFP documentation including tracking and monitoring compliance of commercial agreements, objectives and KPI’s.
    • You will proactively and continuously assess the relevant marketplace and its dynamics, customers and competitors to provide an unbiased point of view on the performance of markets/brands, supported by facts and evidence, as well as lead internal competitive intelligence efforts to ensure the organization anticipates and plans for competitive actions and market events.
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Drive growth in sales, revenue, market share and leadership, TNPS, and NPS and achievement of targets and KPI’s across segments and channels.
    • Implement and ensure success of new products, services, and projects and identify key opportunities to drive product and project awareness and price transformation. 
    • Adhere to weekly visits and monthly call cycles. 
    • Support operators with day-to-day running of the business - manage the look-and-feel, merchandising, staff training and customer experience. 
    • Identify strategic marketing events to maximize profitability for area of responsibility, facilitate promotions, presence branding and recommend ATL marketing opportunities. 
    • Implement and manage recovery plans for underperforming stores. 
    • Manage third party outsource relationships to deliver on the Vodacom KPIs as per SLAs and proactively manage the development and implementation of the sales strategy, projects and general management, e.g. MSI. 
    • Monitor competitor activity and ensure gap closure through the development of competitor activity plans. 
    • Expand pop-up store locations opportunities (move the function from Marketing Specialist to FSC).

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    •     Matric / Grade 12 essential
    •     Relevant certificates
    •     5+ years relevant experience in small business development, Marketing or sales essential
    •     Work experience in the telecommunications industry preferred

    OR 

    •     Matric / Grade 12 essential
    •     3 year commercial diploma or degree (NQF 6 or higher) or SAQA accredited equivalent
    •     3 years relevant experience in small business development, Marketing or sales essential
    •     Work experience in the telecommunications industry preferred


    The base location for this role is Century City, Cape Town.
