Collection, delivery and transfers of scheduled and emergency blood to and from Hospitals, Blood Banks, Mobile Clinics and Blood Donation Centres. Transportation of Staff and Donors.

A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:
Main Purpose:
Supervises a team of staff, co-ordinating the processing of the whole blood into various blood products required for patients’ blood component therapy. Maintains a competent team and meets processing requirements of time constraints and quality according to procedures and blood transfusion standards. Trains and mentors’ new incumbents and interns.

Supervises and co-ordinates team to prepare untested blood for processing. Labels tested blood and blood products and the safe discard of unsuitable units. Trains and mentors’ new incumbents and interns.
