    Packaging Maintenance Technician

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Maintain and support plant high-speed packaging line(s).
    • Safely complete all emergency work, routine checks, and preventative maintenance.
    • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment problems.
    • Partner with operations, engineering, safety and quality to ensure compatibility of equipment with production needs.
    • Evaluate production line processes and help identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
    • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
    • Optimize overall equipment effectiveness by improving reliability and availability while minimizing quality defects of the production processes.
    • Maintain and optimize critical spare parts inventory.
    • Work with contractors to perform required calibrations and validations as assigned.
    • Ensure structure is secure and maintained per quality standards
    • Work with the broader maintenance team to complete more complicated tasks.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • At least 8 years experience as a technician in high-speed packaging machines and plant equipment maintenance and repairs required within a FMCG environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Trade tested as artisan (Fitter or Millwright) at an accredited training facility
    • Completed Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualification or minimum N4 qualification

    Cashbook and Treasury Manager

    Job Description

    An exciting opportunity exists for a CASHBOOK & TREASURY MANAGER at Financial Shared Services Division in Bryanston, Johannesburg.  The purpose of the role is Management of cash across the NBL Group according to stringent controls and within deadlines and to ensure maximum return on investment wherever cash is held. Additional responsibilities include ensuring foreign and local payments are made on time and in accordance to SARB regulations. Management of all aspects relating to the NBL bank accounts, processing of journals, reviewing monthly reconciliations, and compilation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and yearly reports. Continuous improvement of processes relating to cash and treasury and associated departments.

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    Cash Flow Forecasting

    • Compile Daily Cash Flow Report, forecasting the current day’s cash in/outflow and sweep excess cash to/request funds from AVI Treasury
    • Compile weekly the 8 Week Cash Flow forecast to provide insight into NBL’s cash requirements to AVI Treasury
    • Report daily on cash flow forecasting variances and work with relevant department to improve where it is within our control
    • Enforce and track adherence to the cash flow forecasting SOP

     Reporting

    • Interest Reconciliation Report balanced to SAP figures and issued by 3rd working day
    • Monthly Forex Report figures for issuing by 4th working day
    • Monthly Treasury Report balanced to Essbase compiled accurately and issued by 8th working day
    • Semi-Annual Import Undertaking of Undertaking Self-Assessments Reporting is accurate and submitted on time to AVI Illovo Treasury (board report)
    • Semi-Annual Tax Schedule compiled for Tax dept.
    • Quarterly SARB FORM B03 statistical report compiled and issued by 15th for each quarter
    • SAP rates – daily foreign currency, R-rates, International and Factory confirmation

    Bank Maintenance and Payments

    • Maintenance of bank accounts, bank signatories and business online banking operators and authorisers and bank accounts’ required limits
    • Checking foreign payments to ensure SARB requirements met (also Letter of Undertaking Requirements)
    • Through daily cash flow reporting, ensure sufficient funds obtained from AVI Treasury in bank accounts for local vendor and payroll payments
    • Check EFT refunds for Ciro Coffee Boutique and check and approve site petty cash and LSS Paycard reimbursements
    • Manage Letters of Credit and Guarantees
    • Checking and capturing of Treasury banking journals
    • Review monthly reconciliations (Cashbook/ CFC/ Interest/ Loans)
    • Monthly foreign payments schedule reviewed before issue to BU

    Management of Staff

    • Development plans in place for staff with monthly reviews to ensure progress.

    Ad hoc reporting and queries

    • Addressing of ad hoc queries from management and other staff members
    • Submission of ad hoc reports to Shared Service Executives and Financial Manager when requested
    • Managing the internal and external audits – EY Auditors, SARS and SARB.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • 10 Years relevant cashbook and treasury experience working with complex systems and foreign payment processes
    • 3 years leadership experience
    • Knowledge of banking system processes

    Minimum Requirements:

    Logistics Coordinator - Kempton Park

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Work with stores team supervisors to ensure sufficient material availability
    • Ensure live recording of incoming material and issues, transfers and returns
    • Ensure adherence to SOP’s for effective storage control (including review and update of existing SOP’s)
    • Manage stock accuracy through daily cycle counts
