    Partner Manager

    Job Description

    • We are looking for an experienced Client Partner who will partner closely with clients within industries to engage with our platform. This business will be a critical driver within TikTok's key account organisation and as a member of this team, you are expected to drive consultative engagements that drive business growth for our clients. You will have the opportunity to grow and have an impact by developing scalable solutions that shape our overall performance marketing franchise. A part of TikTok's Global Business Solutions team; the focus of this team is to connect TikTok's vibrant and growing creators and users with the brands and businesses they know and love. The Client Partner role is directly responsible for segmenting the market, identifying prospects, building relationships and helping clients drive business results on TikTok through consultation, education, and support. The ideal candidate will combine an exceptional ability to provide consultative selling; a passion for growing revenue; outstanding ability to set strategic vision; and a willingness to execute the tactics. Success in this position requires strong sales, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; and the ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify, prioritise, and secure business opportunities
    • Manage the partner reseller in the South African market
    • Drive revenue for TikTok by seeking partnerships with direct clients
    • Use a consultative approach by offering strategic media solutions to all clients
    • Create compelling sales propositions utilising internal and external data for respective regions
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams on structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives-Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales, and services
    • Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends and case studies
    • Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
    • Update clients on TikTok products and developments and educate clients and agencies on best practices

    Qualifications
    Minimum Qualifications

    • Experience in brand advertising / media sales
    • Strong and relevant experience and connections particularly within resellers
    • Expert knowledge of social media, mobile apps, and digital and mobile marketing
    • Knowledge of performance media, auction, and biddable digital advertising buying
    • Proven performance winning the support of key stakeholders
    • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Creative, outside-the-box thinker and strategist
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills-A team player and collaborator
    • Passion for TikTok marketing, and up for the challenge of building something from the bottom up

    Government Relations and Public Policy Manager (Francophone Africa)

    The main responsibilities for this exciting role include:

    • Building relationships with local governments, NGOs, academia, think tanks and other stakeholders in Francophone Africa and other selected Sub Saharan African (SSA) markets to support the growth of TikTok;
    • Working with policymakers, think tanks, private sector partners and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on issues of data protection, privacy, safety and security, intellectual property, e-governance, content policy and other technology-relevant public policy concerns;
    • Building long-term strategic relationships with local partners; developing and executing advocacy/policy campaigns in relevant public policy areas that impact TikTok;
    • Advising internal teams on public policy matters emerging in Francophone Africa and the rest of SSA; and helping to shape strategic and actionable plans in line with respective governments' regulations and policy frameworks;
    • Actively identifying emerging and significant policy issues in these markets and engage with stakeholders and experts on issues of importance;
    • Monitoring political and social events in the SSA region, and working with local teams to mitigate operational risks; and,
    • Being an external advocate for TikTok’s policy positions, and working to help local communities understand TikTok better.

    Qualifications

    • To join our dynamic and fast growing team, the ideal candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:
    •  A Master's degree or equivalent practical experience;
    •  An educational background in law or (tech) public policy is a plus;
    •  1215 years of demonstrated experience managing public policy and / or government relations, advocacy work and government / private sector partnerships;
    •  68 years of work experience in local government or a public policy team of a global tech or Internet company is preferred;
    •  Outstanding judgment, persuasive and lobbying skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and often uncertain environment;
    •  A vast understanding of Francophone and the Sub Saharan Africa content markets and the technology sector;
    •  A keen understanding of the region's political system, environment and institutions, as well as cultural landscape;
    •  A solid network and relationships with Francophone Africa policymakers, academia, civil society and the technology industry;
    •  Bilingual proficiency in French and English;
    •  An interest in emerging technologies and public policy work; and,
    •  A strong team player with the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
