Core Description

To support CPS within the Commercial portfolio, identifying opportunities to gain competitive advantage, understanding and capitalising on trends in ICT, and incorporating technology solutions to provide competitive advantage and improved margins. Responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of Commercial deliverables to provide an efficient, profitable and cost-effective market leading Commercial practice. Responsible for Project and Service Delivery Management capability across all lines of business.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

• Assist with driving the Commercial strategy and set aspirations in line with market trends, movements and economic conditions and in alignment with the BCX IT Solutions strategy and overall business strategy.
• Provide input into the culture of innovation through leveraging intellectual property, research and development to support, fund and facilitate innovation projects within Commercial.
• Support the monitoring and maintenance of Commercial in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
• Manage the identification and mitigation of strategic risk within Commercial.
• Promote and facilitate optimum engagement between BCX Divisions and establish and enhance relationships with strategic customers and vendors, ensuring that a customer and sales-oriented mind-set is entrenched.

Qualifications Relevant Degree (NQF7) in IT/Business/Commerce OR NQF 4 (Grade 12) Experience

• 8 to 10 years experience, of which 3 years is at senior Specialsit level, with specific relevance to the Commercial sphere
• 3 Year degree/ diploma (NQF 6) in Business / Commerce /Information Technology or related. 5 years relevant experience
• Alternatively, Grade 12 (NQF) Grade 12- & 9-years’ experience of which at least 2 years on a senior specialist level

To consult business units on detailed security solutions and perspectives looking at quality, cost, and appropriateness in terms of their business througha working knowledge or specialist knowledge of any number of the following: security policy, organisational security, asset classifi cation and control,personnel security, physical and environmental security, communications and operations management, access control, systems development andmaintenance, risk assessment and business continuity management

• IT Risk Management on Security Infrastructure
• Implement Security Architecture and Cybersecurity compliance.
• Design And Implement Security Systems
• Create Policies, Procedures And Standards For Computer Communications Security/ Information Technology Services Security
• Control And Evaluate Information Security Of A Business Unit
• Identify And Assess Information Security.
• Report on Infrastructure Security health matrix
