    Talent Developer

    Job Description

    As a Talent Developer, you will be responsible for the following activities:

    • Provide development support for employees within the position’s scope (excluding ManCom), in partnership with management:
    • With regard to behavioural, managerial and leadership skills, by defining each employee’s development goals and proposing appropriate actions while drawing on available resources: evaluations, training, coaching, etc.
    • By conducting career assessments at specified intervals or upon request.
    • By defining objectives for each employee’s professional development within the position’s scope and/or TotalEnergies as a whole.
    • By assisting employees at each major stage of a job change (analyzing job postings, drafting a resume, preparing for hiring interviews, etc., and providing support when problems arise).
    • Manage mobility within their workforce:
    • Provides for appropriate staffing for all jobs within the position’s scope while monitoring compliance with Group policies (diversity, etc.) and ensuring that resources and jobs are allocated in a way that meets the organization’s needs.
    • Ensures the integrity, transparency and fairness of the internal mobility process and plays a role in decision-making.
    • Coordinates mobility activities within the position’s scope, within the segment and across TotalEnergies, including posting job openings and selecting candidates.
    • Support, challenge and develop managers in their role as manager-coach:
    • Manage people reviews in an advisory role informed by their knowledge of the workforce and the key skills required for the métiers within the position’s scope. Develops talent pools for each métier. Assists the manager in creating individual training plans.
    • Assess the potential of employees within the position’s scope in order to identify candidates for the HP/HPG programs, bearing in mind TotalEnergies policies on diversity.
    • Advise and support the manager regarding organizational issues, interpersonal relationships and psychosocial risks
    • Verify that employee skill sets correspond to organizational needs as métiers evolve and work with management to define what resources will be needed over the medium/long term. Assist in identifying outside recruitment needs.
    • Implement and help to adapt HR policies relating to operating personnel (merit-based raises, AIR, HP employees, etc.) and provides support for compliance with those policies.
    • Assist in the job weighting process and in defining career paths.
    • Serve as the primary HR liaison for team managers within the position’s scope.
    • Coordinate Broad based Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) activities including:
    • Submission of monthly reports to the Legal Department for the monthly scorecard
    • Prepare and submit BBBEE information to the selected agency for verification purposes
    • Once a year engage with agencies to ‘employ’ and onboard people with disabilities
    • Once a year enroll external learners to learnerships
    • Once a year enroll employees into learnerships as per BBBEE guidelines
    • Monitor the skills development expenditure
    • Coordination of all Bursary activities:
    • Implement the bursaries procedure and administration thereof i.e., internal, and external bursaries with universities
    • Training management:
    • Submit mandatory training reports to the key internal stakeholders i.e., HSE Department and Legal & Governance Departments
    • Consolidate the affiliate training plan for Head Office and Depots
    • Ensure all training is captured on Lizzy
    • Coordinating training activities

    Candidate profile

    As a Talent Developer, ideally you will possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or a recognized qualification in Human Resources Management or similar field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience in HR operations including recruitment and/or training and organizational development roles
    • Ability to work independently; big-picture perspective; team spirit; open-mindedness
    • Excellent listening and communication skills
    • Ability to generate new ideas and demonstrate conviction and influence
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Fluent in English

    Senior Business Developer - Based in Cape Town

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the role of the Senior Business Developer is

    The Main Activities And Responsibilities Are

    • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct & indirect sales channel
    • Identification of commercial & industrial prospects likely to enter in a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)
    • Realization of commercial proposals (non-binding and binding offers) creating value for our clients
    • Develop and maintain relationship with EPCs
    • Identification and negotiation with partners (developers/EPC) for potential project acquisition (brownfield/greenfield)
    • Manage tendering process and submit bids to the active opportunities in the Cape area for the Distributed Generation market
    • Responsible for the market screening and coordination with the other TotalEnergies entities in the country
    • Work effectively within the TotalEnergies network within country teams, regulatory bodies, corporate clients and corporate groups, financing institutions
    • Responsible for building and maintaining tools to industrialize our offer & process
    • Relationship management from first contact to Solar Lease or PPA signature
    • Follow-up and monitoring of business evolutions potentially impacting the development of DG business
    • Managing key accounts
    • Reporting the opportunities and follow up to the head of business development using our CRM tool.
    • Ensure the monthly reporting of activities and prepare the investment dossiers
    • Assist the Head of Business Development for the LTP (long term plan) and business review
    • Follow-up and monitoring of business evolutions potentially impacting the development of DG business
    • Reporting the trends and tendency of the area to the head of business development to adapt the strategy
    • Contribute to cash collection from customers.

    Context and environment

    • The competitive environment: The business operates in a very competitive environment with both local and international competitors.
    • The regulatory environment: Each region in the country being managed has different regulatory framework and context for which the business must operate. Regulation for self-consumption is constantly evolving and the business is required on a regular basis to adapt its business model (battery storage, bi facial technology, trackers…)
    • The HSE environment: to ensure that the highest standards of HSE are implemented to meet Group standards. This can often involve implementing additional processes beyond what is market standard in the region of operation.

    Candidate profile

    • Between 5 to 10 year of professional experience
    • Candidates who are working or have worked in the local business environment of the country will have a strong advantage as this role requires a very strong understanding of the local market conditions, companies and customers
    • BBA/MBA or Master in Business & Administration or Engineering
    • Experience in solar and in signing PPA agreements and management of tendering processes/bid submision
    • Proven ability to operate effectively with autonomy.
    • Knowledge of the electricity and renewable energy local market and strong interpersonal skills will be needed to engage local stakeholders
    • Commercial skills ability to negotiate contracts with all levels of counterparty business.
    • Experiences in different cultural environments
    • 5-10 years of experience positioning sophisticated solutions and cost-benefit analyses
    • Working languages: English, French is a nice to have.
