    Financial Manager

    Main functions will include but is not limited to:

    •  Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
    •  Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
    •  Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position.
    •  Monthly reporting to head office, including forex, board reports, capital WIP listing, property listing.
    •  Prepare annual financial statements, audit files and ad hoc financial reports.
    •  Monthly Payroll review, oversight, and submission of SARS returns.
    •  Prepare, analysing, interpreting & presenting of management statements.
    •  Supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting staff.
    •  Calculations and Completion of Provisional and Income Tax Returns, E-filing Administration, submitting supporting documents.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    •  B Com degree (Chartered Accountant)
    •  5-10 years experience

    Recommended skills, knowledge, and qualities:

    •  Practical hands-on accounting knowledge.
    •  Knowledge of forestry/ timber manufacturing industry an advantage.
    •  Good communication skills and the ability to motivate staff.
    •  Proficient skills in MS Office in particular Excel.
    •  Add value to the business and able to operate under pressure.

    Fitter and Turner - Ugie

    Main functions will include but is not limited to:

    •  To do maintenance and breakdown repairs on all mechanical equipment
    •  To perform inline inspections and maintenance
    •  To perform plant Shutdown work
    •  To assist in the upgrading of equipment and maintaining machinery
    •  Installs, maintains and repairs specialized equipment
    •  Report any difficulties or faults arising in the operation or utilization of
    •  the equipment
    •  Maintain OHASA standards and ensure high levels housekeeping
    •  Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations and instructions
    •  Do shift relieve if required

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    •  Grade 12/Matric
    •  Trade Tested Fitter and Turner
    •  Minimum N3 Mechanical Engineering
    •  At least 5 years post trade test experience as a Fitter and Turner

    Recommended skills, knowledge and qualities:

    •  Good Fitting and Turning ability
    •  Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics systems
    •  Basic welding
    •  Excellent communication skills
    •  Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    Assistant Cattle Manager - Ugie

    Key Result Areas:

    •  Organise work to maximise efficiency and productivity
    •  Train and motivate herdsman to implement the various work systems (Nutrition, herd health and cattle management)
    •  Monitor both the work and work systems to ensure direct results are attained
    •  Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records
    •  Marketing of stock and organizing cattle to be marketed
    •  Keeping of necessary administrative records pertaining to a large cattle enterprise
    •  Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
    •  Keeping up to date knowledge of pests and diseases
    •  Organising maintenance/repair of property (fences/handling facilities/equipment)
    •  Herd performance according to set standards
    • Grassland management

    Minimum qualifications:

    •  Diploma in animal production or agricultural management will be to your advantage

    Minimum experience:

    •  At least 8 years’ experience working with a large beef cattle herd and be able to do all related animal husbandry practices and grassland management

    Recommended skills, knowledge and qualities:

    •  Initiative, flexibility, good communication skills, trustworthy, proficient in Microsoft, valid driver’s license compulsory, technical knowledge of the environment, marketing and sales
    •  Teamwork, knowledge of fencing and pastures
    •  Planning and organisational skills
    •  Ability to communicate fluently in isiXhosa
