    Production Manager

    Job Description

    • As the Production Manager, you will lead a team of staff, ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations to deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements.
    • This position will be based in Epping, Cape Town. 

    Key Accountabilities:

    Production

    • Manage production process to achieve targets most efficiently and cost-effectively. This includes optimizing production processes, reducing waste, and minimizing downtime. Set goals, objectives, and standards of measurement for the factory. Meet delivery dates (OTIF) and communicate with planning.

    Quality Control 

    • Ensuring that the products manufactured meet the required quality standards. Monitor and maintain quality control measures throughout the production process. Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.

    Plant

    • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory. This includes managing inventory, scheduling maintenance and repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally.

    Staff Management

    • Managing and leading the team of employees in the factory. Ensure that staff is trained, motivated, and working efficiently. Provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure teams are working effectively. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.

    Health and Safety

    • Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

    General

    • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, customers, suppliers, other departments, Bargaining Council and Trade Union. Report on the factory's progress, achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

     Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or Production/Operations Management would be advantageous
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment of which a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role

    Functional Requirements:

    • Sound experience understanding the production process and function and applying continuous improvement processes.
    • Unwavering focus on delivering results and problem-solving.
    • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Strong people management and leadership skills.
    • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

    Working Conditions:

    • This is a full-time position which entails a minimum of 40 hours per week.
    • The Production Manager works in a fast-paced environment that requires considerable multitasking.
    • Shift work may be necessary due to operational requirements.
    • Own transport & valid driver’s license.

    Junior Draughtsman

    Job Description

    • The main purpose of this position is to provide 3D modelling, shop drawings and product Bill of Materials for furniture items. Secondary purpose is CNC programming and maintenance of said furniture items. The position will report to the Technical Manager.
    • This position is based in Epping, Cape Town. 

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Produce detailed 3D CAD modelling.
    • Produce CAD shop drawings with detailed dimensioning and instructions where required.
    • Produce CAD assembly drawings.
    • Maintain all drawings in the database by updating any relevant changes.
    • Program CNC machines for production.
    • Complete product Bill of Materials (BOM) when drawings are complete using Excel template.
    • Make necessary changes to BOM should any raw material or hardware changes be needed.
    • Follow drawing through production process and monitor quality and accuracy.
    • Assist Technical Manager with machine maintenance program and running repairs performed by maintenance contactor.

     Technical skills:

    • Grade 12
    • Computer literate, software required:
    • AutoCAD Lt
    • Fusion 360
    • Microsoft Office
    • CNC Programming (various)
    • Drivers license

    B2B Coordinator

    Main accountabilities include:

    • Work closely with the Weylandtsstudio team to formulate creative briefs to meet clients needs.
    • Work closely with the Marketing team to drive the marketing strategy for the role.
    • Support the B2B Development Manager to meet key business unit targets in terms of key financial indicators and profitability. 
    • Prepare initial quotes / cost estimate to send to client.
    • Produce final client approved Interior Cost Summary.
    • Prepare and process all supplier quotes.
    • Prepare and process all supplier orders and coordinate deposit payments and final payments.
    • Coordinate and facilitate all deliveries, packing, storage, insurance, freight, transport.
    • Liaising with internal Weylandts departments as required (Purchasing/ Finance etc) re Products, costs, supply issues.
    • Compiling of reports as required and carrying out all other related administration, including filing. 

     Technical Skills:    

    • Matric
    • Diploma in accounting or equivalent is advantageous 
    • Minimum 3 years’ work experience, preferably in a similar role 
    • Excellent PC skills (MS Office, especially Excel & Finance systems)

    Sales Administrator

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of sales and orders, including production of invoices, delivery details and handling of payments.
    • Responsible for balancing daily cash-ups.
    • Ensuring that all data gathered from customers and sales consultants is accurate (in relation to product codes and delivery addresses etc.)
    • Answering telephones in a professional manner and answering queries efficiently.
    • Ensuring that company policies and procedures are always adhered to.
    • Production of reports as required (using Excel) and carrying out all related administration, including filing.
    • Assist customers with sales of Homeware products.
    • Assist consultants and visual merchandisers with housekeeping and when required on the showroom floor.
    • Participation in stock takes on a daily/ weekly basis as directed by the store manager.
    • As the first point of contact with customers, engaging and interacting to enhance the client experience and answer queries.
    • Handling customer complaints as far as possible and referring appropriately when necessary.
    • Must be willing to take on further responsibilities, if necessary, as directed by the store manager.
    • Assist with processing of IBT's and SCT's.
    • Assist with POD's and Translution.
    • Assist with Stock takes and discrepancies.
    • Assist with Customer collections.

     Qualifications:

    • Grade 12/Matric

     Experience and Skills:

    • Excellent administration and typing skills are required. 
    • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office necessary.
    • Previous background in customer facing environment in admin role required.
    • Must be available to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.
    • Passionate about décor and Weylandts furniture and homeware products.
    • Comfortable working with different systems and technology.
