    Operations Supervisor - North West

    Purpose

    An exciting opportunity exists to ensure that several tasks are carried out on site to safety, environment, productivity, and to assist management with the efficient and effective running of the site.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Business, Functional Management

    • Execute operational and technical duties in a cost-effective way, as per standard operating procedure and practice notes as directed.

    Financial, Commercial and Contract management

    • Work with materials and equipment in a cost-effective way, as per standard operating procedures and practice notes as directed.
    • Ensure full compliance to material usage requirements in executing duties.

    Risk Management and Compliance, Including Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Responsibility

    • Execute all duties in district compliance to safety, Heath, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies, procedures and legislation, to ensure the company's responsibility is met.
    • Comply with all reporting and information requirements.

    Stakeholder Management (Internal/External)

    • Ensure professional interaction with stakeholders.
    • Maintain working relationship with support functions on site and at head office, as required to deliver in their section against standards.

    Operations and Project Management

    • Contribute to plan/ schedule generation for daily/ shift work, in line with project goals.
    • Responsible for operational execution of work, through delivery of own tasks and duties, as well as supervision of the work for the team on shift.

    Management Operating Systems and Reporting

    • Ensure all paperwork and posters are displayed on the site office wall and kept up to date.
    • Ensure all reported near misses are recorded following procedure and submitted  weekly.

    Technical Management

    • Responsibility for adherence to technical standards and work methods, for section, in accordance with organisational and client requirement, policies, procedures and legislation.

    SHEQ Management

    • Check sums are right on plan drawing and quantities and that all materials and work are to the specification.
    • Record the condition of plant arriving on site on a form with photograph.

    People Management

    • Lead, manage and support team, guide and coach team.

    Culture and Climate

    • Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement for the duration of the project.
    • Align with client culture requirements as directed by management.

    QUALIFICATION

    • B Tech/ Degree in Civil Engineering.

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least 1 -2 year's tailings deposition experience working in a mining / tailings environment or construction environment.

    Quality Controller - North West

    PURPOSE

    This position exists to ensure that products or services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. By setting clear quality goals, defining criteria, and implementing control measures, organisation can ensure that their offerings are of high quality, reliable, and efficient,

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Planning

    • Inspecting output samples using industry appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
    • Checking that the assembly or production line adhere with legal requirements.
    • Reviewing blueprints and specification to compare produced goods.
    • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing, re-work and waste inputting data into quality database.
    • Training the production team on quality control measures to improve products excellence.
    • Responsible for the overall quality of all products in the company.
    • Complete independent implementation of all quality assurance and quality control activities (procedures, records risk assessments, training oversee auditing, hygiene, verification activities. Pets control, equipment calibrations).
    • Proposing improvements to the production process.
    • Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements.
    • Keeping measurements equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repair.
    • Report trends and overall quality of business monthly to top management.
    • Using  gauges such as calipers and micrometers to measure products.
    • Collecting and compiling statistical quality data.
    • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
    • Determine the causes of products defects and reworks.
    • Management of quality interim.

    SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations, and ensure risks are managed as per their area of responsibility.
    • Ensure subordinates are compliant to all SHEQ requirements and take corrective action to correct non-conformance.
    • Check the compliance of all laboratory equipment in terms of SHE requirements.

    Requirements

    Qualification

    • B-Tech or equivalent/ Quality Assurance.
    • Certification as quality engineering, Quality Auditor, Six Sigma or Quality improvement associate is preferred.

    Experience

    • 3 years experience in related field.

    Senior Manager: HR Systems and Reward

    Description

    Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of systems related to employee management including but not limited to; onboarding, compensation, benefits, rewards and communication. Ensuring that the organisation’s global compensation and rewards programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with its overall business strategy. Guarantees that all Global HR related systems, are at the forefront of the technology available, effective, efficient, well utilised and produce the necessary analytics for strategic people impact.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     Functional Management

    • Ensure the appropriate rewards policy and procedures are being applied in the organisation in an effective and efficient manner.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert on employee transactions and acts as an advisor to the organisation to resolve and implement functional modifications when necessary.
    • Establish and measure performance across all areas of HR and Payroll administration, against agreed metrics.
    • Identifies and implements process and technology improvements to enhance functional effectiveness and maximise operational effectiveness.
    • Design, owns and implements systems that ensure the correct records are prepared, completed, uploaded and support the value chain.
    • Works with relevant central/support areas to allocate resources and ensure easy, positive and exceptional service internally and externally.
    • Drives continuous improvement and adaptation of relevant HR processes and technology, looking to reduce complexity.
    • Establishes systems that audit, maintain, and control employee records.
    • Manages sensitive and confidential matters including employee relations, organisation changes, and protects security of information.
    • Conducts research, gathers data, maintains, analyses and interprets statistical information.
    • Coordinates related training events or programs and recommends resources, as needed.
    • Keeps up to date on current HRM matters in the organisation and industry.
    • Responsible for workforce planning data compilation and supporting analysis.
    • Holds various roles on internal committees and working groups related to remuneration and HR Systems.

     Staff Management

    • Ensures the learning and development of all direct reports.
    • Ensures talent management within the division.
    • Manage performance development of all direct reports.
    • Ensure team well-resourced and able to deliver on their commitments.
    • Coach all on system and global remuneration matters.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATION

    • Relevant Postgraduate in HR, Remuneration, Business, Mathematical/Statistical, Systems or other qualification.

     EXPERIENCE

    • 8-10 years of relevant HR, Remuneration and System experience.
    • Strategic and Operational knowledge and experience in the following core areas: Remuneration, HR Systems, AI and new technology, Cloud, Ap and other technical knowledge, Statistical Analysis, Administration, Compliance, Project Management, Transformation, and other HR Related areas.

    SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Knowledge and understanding of legislation, standards and bylaws applicable to FA’s business.
    • Excellent grasp of technology and its application.
    • Excellent communication – both written and verbal skills.
    • Strong analytical ability.
    • Good financial management and budget control.
    • Good networking skills.
    • Excellent negotiation, motivation and persuasion skills.
    • Excellent understanding of change management and learning and development.
