    Clerk: Receiving (Seasonal Permanent)

    Job Description

    • The receiving clerk's responsibilities include verifying delivered Fibre and ensuring all data is correctly documented on the clip advise and delivery note. This position includes verifying of information on bales.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • 1-2 years warehouse experience
    • Basic knowledge of Wool and Mohair
    • Good understanding of warehouse processes
    • Computer literacy
    • Be prepared to work overtime and required to be available for off-loads after hours.
    • Languages (Afrikaans/ English/ Xhosa)

    KEY FUNCTIONS: 

    General Queries

    • Ensure all queries are handled in a satisfactory manner
    • Interact in a positive and professional manner with clients.

    Receiving of wool

    • Ensure all information/ Clip advise is correctly documented.

     Verification of bales

    • Ensure that bales are mark correctly.
    • Ensure bales do not get lost in warehouse

    Environment responsibility 

    • Ensure general housekeeping are done daily
    • Adhering to Health and Safety regulations

     Quality control

    • Ensure ISO procedures are followed

    Adhoc duties

    • Assist with other task/activities delegated to you by your line manager.

    Auction Coordinator: Special Auctions

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • Relevant Diploma/Degree
    • At least 2 years’ experience in the Livestock industry and digital marketing is recommended
    • Must be fully bilingual and conversant in Afrikaans & English
    • Valid driver’s license

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Planning and coordination of auction dates
    • Compilation of pamphlets and catalogues for auction
    • Planning and record keeping of auction equipment and materials
    • Gathering of information and documentation required for auctions
    • Responsible for advertising of auctions
    • Ensure a positive image of the organisation through professional, effective and efficient client services
    • Procurement of sponsors for catalogues and BKB functions
    • Obtain quotations from printers for pamphlets, catalogues and auction-related printing
    • Distribution of marketing material to relevant parties
    • Responsible for the effective execution of digital auctions
    • Coordinate communication with the company’s livestock clients in terms of digital media requirements
    • Assist with the procurement and management of new buyers and sellers
    • Planning and organising of refreshments for commercial auctions
    • Organising of vehicle services, licensing and roadworthiness of vehicle/trucks
