Quality Assurance Tester at Bluegrass Digital

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of both our websites and mobile (iOS & Android) applications. You will need to show that you can understand client & project requirements; identify UX and UI design issues whilst testing; and ideally have proven experience working with any of the following CMS platforms: WordPress, Umbraco, or Optimizely. This role requires a hands-on QA tester with expertise in both manual and automated testing environments.

The Bluegrass QA Manager will oversee your work and you will work very closely with other teams including Project Managers; Developers; and Designers.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 3+ years’ experience in QA testing for web and mobile applications
• Proven hands-on experience with CMS platforms, with Optimizely, Umbraco, or WordPress being very advantageous
• Proficient with responsive website cross browser testing
• Proficient using browser Developer Tools for performance and cosmetic testing
• Proficiency in automation testing, with tools such as Playwright, Detox, and Selenium being very advantageous
• Familiarity with a development IDE's, like Visual Studio Code or similar
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum
• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
• ISTQB Foundation certification is advantageous
• Understanding of SEO and how to test SEO technical aspects from a QA perspective
• Razor sharp eye for detail – you should have a creative eye and the ability to review designs against the final product and pick out those minuscule 1 pixel off bugs and inherently understand when something ‘feels wrong’ within the user experience
